Sudamala Resort, Komodo, Labuan Bajo

I really enjoy my time in Sudamala resort Bajo, the room is clean and spacious, the staff are super friendly and helpful, the food is fine, the facility are working well. They even have free airport transfer! (in certain time schedule)

Our visit was wonderful. The resort is beautiful and quiet, the room was clean and modern. Staff were so friendly and warm. Breakfast was delicious. The beach area was gorgeous with stunning sunsets. The only minor feedback I would give is the cushions on the sun loungers kept slipping down. All in all though, I would definitely visit again.

The service was excellent from the time we were picked up at the airport. The resort is quiet, clean, safe, with a beautiful ground and beach at sunset. Buffet breakfast was great with international selection, but i love that there was also different dish of Balinese food everyday. The resort also prepared take out breakfasts for us when we had to leave at 530am for a tour one day. We had a wonderful stay!

Tran and I recently enjoyed a wonderful 7-night stay at Sudamala Resort in Labuan Bajo on Flores Island, Indonesia, and our experience was exceptional from beginning to end.

As full-time world travelers, it takes a great deal to impress us, but Sudamala Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. Located about 15 minutes outside Labuan Bajo and directly on the beach, the resort offers a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere while still being conveniently close to town.

From the moment we were greeted at the airport through check-in and throughout our stay, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. The beachfront setting is beautiful, and the entire property is impeccably maintained. We constantly saw staff tending to the grounds, which reflects the pride they take in the resort.

Our room was spacious, comfortable, and very well maintained by the housekeeping staff. We also loved the restaurant overlooking the pool and beach, where we enjoyed all of our meals. The food was consistently excellent with a great variety of Indonesian and international dishes.

What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the people. Every staff member we encountered was warm, kind, professional, and eager to help. We especially enjoyed speaking with the front desk and restaurant teams, who made us feel like “part of the family.” We also appreciated seeing General Manager Mr. Wisnu interacting daily with both guests and staff, which clearly sets the tone for the resort’s welcoming atmosphere.

We would particularly like to recognize Olik, Yolan, Frengki, Anto, Yane, Desy, Erick, Putra, Yovan, Asre, Firmin, Vincent, Agung, and Dev for going above and beyond to enhance our stay.

Thank you to everyone at Sudamala Resort for such a memorable experience. We highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Labuan Bajo and Flores Island and hope to return again in the future.

We had a wonderful stay at Sudamala Resort Komodo for 4 days and 3 nights. The rooms were comfortable, and beautifully designed. The resort itself has a fantastic ambience, combining tranquility, elegance, and stunning surroundings while embrace Labuan Bajo traditionalities.

What truly made the experience memorable was the exceptional service from the entire Sudamala team. Everyone was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to ensure us to had a pleasant stay. Their hospitality made us feel welcomed from arrival to departure.

Sudamala resort is a hidden gem of Labuan Bajo, quiet, right on the beach with sunset views, beautiful garden and fantastic service. Large rooms with comfortable beds makes this resort a real bliss

Location of Sudamala is excellent, the hotel has the best Sunset view. The asmosphere is very convinient. The rooms are clean, the staff very nice, polite, n fast respond. We'll sure choose Sudamala to stay in Labuan Bajo.

We had an exceptional nine night stay at the Sudamala Komodo. The resort was well maintained and well staffed. The restaurant was exceptional. Housekeeping was very attentive and groundskeeping was unbelievable. The pool was very relaxing. A special thanks to Neldis, Desy, Yolan, Licne, and Fety!!!

We had 5 wonderful days at Sudamala. Located a short distance from town we hired a motor bike to get around.
The hotel is beautiful and the staff are all very friendly.
Breakfast is amazing and includes unlimited cappuccino, latte etc.
The pool and swim up bar are great. A fresh coconut from the bar around the pool was 10/10.
Dining in the restaurant is more expensive than town - as expected.
The beach at the front is nice but there are much better beaches on the north of the island.
Recommends fisherman village for dinner.

We’ve just completed a 10-night stay between Sudamala Komodo and Seraya, and honestly, words don’t quite do the experience justice.
There are some places you enjoy… and then there are places that leave a genuine sense of loss when it’s time to leave. Sudamala has been exactly that for us.
From the moment we arrived, the warmth, kindness, and professionalism of every staff member stood out. Nothing ever felt scripted or transactional—just genuine hospitality delivered with such grace and ease that you felt completely at home.
Both properties are immaculate, beautifully designed, exceptionally comfortable, and maintained to an incredibly high standard. Every detail feels thoughtful, from the rooms to the grounds, creating a sense of calm luxury without pretension.
What made this stay truly special, though, were the people. The Sudamala team didn’t simply host us—they welcomed us, cared for us, and made us feel less like guests and more like friends returning home.
To the entire Sudamala family, thank you for creating something so special. You have given us memories we’ll carry for a very long time, and leaving is far harder than we expected.
We cannot recommend Sudamala Komodo and Seraya highly enough.

Good food, very clean and beautiful rooms, nice pool with access to the beach, good vibes and very friendly staff. Would definitely come back to this place! Breakfast is also delicious, try the chicken broth, it’s amazing!

Everyone on the staff made our staying so seamless and comfortable. From the breakfast box on our early morning excursion, to the beautiful setup for our sunset dinner on beach, the beautiful room, and amazing staffs. Special mention to Engkortz from housekeeping team who made the birthday decoration and handwritten notes!

A beautiful resort with great food and very friendly service. The gardens were particularly beautiful and extremely well maintained. The staff were all so attentive. Would recommend.

I have travelled a lot and I dare to say that this resort is one of the best I've ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious with a desperate toilet and shower. All used materials are premium. The garden breathes a tranquil atmosphere and is perfectly maintained. The view from the pool onto the beach is great. The whole staff aims to give you an unforgettable experience. Since we were only staying one night after our cruise, we did not use the spa or gym facilities. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of choices. An absolute recommendation.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. They made every effort to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The resort is very well maintained with eell manicured grounds and the rooms were very clean and comfortable comfortable.

Sudamala Resort is excellent in every way. The property is beautiful — the rooms are spacious, the service is beyond great, sunset is incredible, the spa is wonderful. It was nice to see the ocean from the restaurant and the pool is really nice. The spa also has its own pool to use if you get a service. I would love to return one day.
