Sudamala Resort, Komodo, Labuan Bajo

The room is excellent. The layout to the restaurant is convenient, and the shrimp linguine is delicious. The staff(FIRMIN) at the front desk speak excellent English and provided clear explanations. I recommend booking directly through the website. The fitness treadmills are good, and the food is tasty. Most importantly, it was great to be able to enjoy a calm and quiet environment without any noisy people. The spa was also good.

Very nice rooms and environment at the hotel. The pool is not the best nor the beach. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall we had a very pleasant stay

We spent the final 3 nights of our trip in Indonesia here and loved this resort
Rooms, garden and common spaces are simply gorgeous and the staff shows deep care for their guests
We had dinners at the restaurant, prices are bit higher compared to other similar resorts in Indonesia but anyway cheaper compared to European standards and with good quality
The resort is located on the beach, in Flores there are better locations if you like swimming, but anyway here you can relax and enjoy sunsets

Moreover, the diving center Aquradive inside the hotel is really a plus for divers or excursions in Komodo National Park.

I really like the Chinese‑speaking young lady at the front desk, as well as the young man working part‑time for the summer who helps with luggage. I love everyone’s warm smiles.

Simply perfect: structure, food, staff, services (restaurant, dinner on the beach, massage, exscursion).

Absolutely loved this resort in Labuan Bajo, from which we could do magnificent diving in the Komodo region. Even though we were there when the earthquake (7.7 magnitude) struck and devastated the hotel next door, we were not affected thank God. We were super lucky and the hotel / location / staff are wonderful. I highly recommend the villa with their own pool - just sublime.

We had an excellent stay at Sudamala Resort Komodo and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
We were very pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a room with a private pool. The room was absolutely beautiful, comfortable and very well maintained. The private pool was a fantastic addition and made the stay feel even more special.
The resort itself is beautiful and peaceful, with a wonderful atmosphere. The location is also ideal for exploring Komodo and the surrounding area.
What impressed us the most, was the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, welcoming and always available to help with anything we needed. The level of hospitality was genuinely excellent and made us feel very well taken care of throughout our stay.
The breakfast was very good, with a nice variety of options and good quality. We also ordered from the restaurant twice and were very satisfied with both meals. We also tried the evening barbecue buffet, which was good, although we felt the price was a little high compared with the overall experience.
The cocktails, on the other hand, were absolutely excellent. Definitely 10/10.
The resort was clean, quiet and very comfortable, and all the facilities we used were well maintained.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Sudamala. The combination of the beautiful room, private pool, peaceful atmosphere and especially the exceptional staff made our stay memorable. We would happily return and would definitely recommend this resort to anyone visiting Komodo.

We spent an incredible vacation at Sudamala Resort, Komodo as a family of three with our 10-year-old child, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice!
The resort itself is beautiful, both inside and out, with thoughtful design and breathtaking beachfront surroundings. The grounds are impeccably maintained, featuring gorgeous green gardens adorned with striking sculptures that give the place a unique, artistic charm. Our room was wonderfully spacious, beautifully furnished, and very comfortable for our family.
A special highlight for us was the dining experience. The food was delicious, and the breakfast spread was extensive, thoughtfully prepared, and offered a fantastic variety. We especially appreciated the personal touch from the restaurant manager, who checked in on us several times to ensure everything was to our liking and to ask for any suggestions. The entire staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and truly attentive—you can really feel how much they care about their guests.
(We didn't get a chance to try the spa, so we can't comment on that, but everything else exceeded our expectations!)
With its stunning location, fantastic food, and wonderful team, we would love to return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended!

The Sudamala Resort, Komodo, Labuan Bajo was fantastic. The rooms were spacious, airy, and beautiful. The resort was beautiful and peaceful. The service for the rooms and the beach was efficient, friendly, and super pleasant. The front desk and concierge could not have been more helpful and efficient. The restaurant had excellent food and choices. The Spa had great massages - we did several while staying. The concierge was great at reserving beautiful restaurants in town and around the island for us every night. They were Great at getting drivers taking us and picking us up every day.

The dive center that operates there, Aqura, was fantastic also. We rented our own boat with them, and all the gear, for 4 days. They took us wherever we wanted. Safety was always first, and we felt very comfortable. Dio and Servy were great divemasters - fun, pleasant, safe, and knew what they were doing. They, along with the boat staff, provided first-class service, putting our gear together, making sure we had the right weights, and making sure we were comfortable. Ready with a hot cup of tea or water as soon as we emerged from the dive. Plenty of dry towels. Nice bento boxes every day for lunch. Plenty of fruit and crackers for in between.

Zero complaints! We would definitely go back.

Location to the harbor and having the ability to walk around the shops and evening market was wonderful. The restaurant was very nice and a good value. The breakfast was amazing. The gym is well equipped.

We had a pleasant experience at this hotel on Komodo Island. The staff were always available and attentive, and the atmosphere and surrounding gardens were relaxing. The room was spacious and clean. Nothing to complain about.

I spent only one night at Sudamala before joining a boat trip. It is a convenient 15 minute drive from the airport. I did have to wait a while in the heat to get into my room but that is not unusual because I arrived before their check-in time.
My room was very nice indeed - nicely decorated, everything I needed, outdoor bathroom (watch out for mosquitos). The bar and restaurant were good and the restaurant manageress was very helpful indeed over my gluten allergy. Breakfast was great. The view of the bay from the beach area was great. The only downside was that the beach was rather grubby - more like grey dust than white sand. There was a pool to swim in but people weren't swimming in the sea - again not too attractive.
So a very satisfactory place for a few days if you're visiting Flores but probably not for a week's holiday.
