Grabovac Hotel

Room was spacious and clean. We had 2 rooms. One with 2 single beds, the other with 3 single beds.Bed linens were on par with a 4 or 5 star hotel. Towels provided were also of good size and quality. Shower was small but water pressure was amazing. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. We did the upper lakes on our first day and they stamped our tickets for FREE entrance to the park the next day. Breakfast included with room had a good selection and was tasty. The only negative is that there is no elevator so you will have to bring your luggage up several stairs to your room. Parking for our car was free and they provide FREE shuttle rides to the park if you do not have a car. I would positively stay here again. Room prices were fair and a good value!

The hotel is simple but nice and functional if you are planning to visit the Plitvice park. They offer very good packages including half board, entrance tickets for the park and free shuttle to and from the park ( btw the parking is very expensive!)
Rooms are small but well equipped and the internal restaurant offers good and varied breakfast as well as dinners with local specialties.

Reasonably priced hotel and very clean. Only negative is the fact there was no elevator and we had to drag our 4 bags of luggage up the stairs - did not have anyone offer to help even though there were people at the reception desk. Breakfast was included and was ok. Great price for our overnight stay. Air conditioning could have been better as it was really warm & humid the day we were there. Parking was good. Close to the national park.

Just wanted to commend staff and the organisation of the hotel. Unique accommodation and excellent food! Hotel is near the lakes and on the main road. Overall very quiet and pleasant. From all experience, a big recommend!

The hotel is operated by the Pitvice Lakes National Park and is ideal for anyone wishing to visit the Lakes for a full day or a couple of days. The free shuttle bus to and from the National Park is excellent. The rooms are a good size and well appointed, the restaurant has very good food and the staff are helpful and friendly. As I had to catch a bus very early on the day I checked out, before breakfast they provided me with a packed lunch, much appreciated ahead of my long bus ride.

Grabovac Hotel is in an excellent "quiet" location to visit Plitvice National Park. Although we had a hire car they offer free coach service to and from the park. You can also purchase a packed lunch if required. They are also able to electronically extend your one day ticket to the park for extra days free of charge.

The room was very clean and comfortable. We found the reception staff and housekeeping to be very friendly and helpful.

There is a handy shop for any additional items you may need again with friendly English speaking staff.

With regard to eating, we tried the cafe on our arrival and found it very good service and value for money. In the evening we had dinner in the restaurant where we had outstanding service from Damir P our waiter on both evening. The food was excellent and good value for money.

Breakfast has a good selection to suit everyone's tastes.

Stayed in a great cabin like room that was clean and good hot water. Close to Plitvice and the attached restaurant is quite good and reasonably priced. Small store nearby for picnic stuff or beverages.

Great hotel and restaurant only 7km from Plitvice. Only 1 tour bus whereas the other hotels seemed full of them. Breakfast was included, but its a good idea to get Plitvice as soon as possible due to the number of tourists.

We stayed in a small room with two twin beds that had that forest-lodge, summer-camp kind of feel, which was perfect as a base for our excursion to the nearby Plitvice Lakes National Park (which was an easy 10-minute drive away). The beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. We were in late and out pretty early the next morning, so we didn't spend a ton of time in the room. Overall it fit our expectations and was just what we needed to crash overnight.

The breakfast lacked soul. By the time we made it down (probably around 8 a.m.), the most substantial part of the meal—eggs and roasted vegetables—was nearly gone. What was left of the eggs was dry and unflavored. There was actually nothing left of the roasted veggies, except maybe a few oily peppers that were stuck to the bottom of the pan. It was free, though, so it's hard to complain. There was a good amount of fruit, and cereal fixings; the coffee was fine.

We stayed there one night after having visited the plitvice lakes and the hotel was better than expected. Cheap but comfy, the room was ok for this hotel standard . If you have a rental car , this hotel is certainly the best value for money in the area.

This hotel surpassed my expectations. My wife and I stayed one night. We arrived at the National Park at 5 pm when the crowds had thinned and spent a few hours walking the lower lakes --(after 4 pm, there is a discounted entry rate). We then drove the 10 minutes to Grabovac Hotel. I wanted a hotel associated with the Park (there are 4) so that admission to the Park is good for 2 days---otherwise, you pay each day you enter the park. Though the only 1 of the 4 not on the grounds of the park, Grabovac is far less expensive and a short drive.
When we arrived around 8:00 pm to check in, the receptionist took our park entry tickets and got them electronically confirmed for free entry to the park (upper lakes) the following morning.
The room was spacious and comfortable---not luxurious but certainly comparable to a Holiday Inn/Comfort Inn type room.
We ate at the hotel restaurant outside on the terrace. Reasonably priced, nice waiter staff, good food.
The only "negative" about the hotel (did not affect us) is that it did not have a ramp to pull luggage from outside into the lobby. You have to lift the luggage up a few steps. And I did not see an elevator to get the luggage to the 2nd floor where our room was. You have to lift them up the steps. I'm sure staff would help guests with this if asked.
I paid a non-refundable rate about 30 days prior to arrival. There was a nice savings for this advance purchase.

Had a really great evening listening to local musicians on the terrace. Our meals were excellent and very fresh. Presentation of meals was very professional and our waiter was very good. A great setting.

Very pleasant and relaxing stop in Grabovac next to the motorway with some nice traditional homemade delights like sour milk. The hotel has a nice cafe terrace, a small shop and a restaurant. The service was very professional. The prices are very affordable

A hotel from the 70/80:s that had a calm and peaceful atmosphere. A good place to relax before / after visiting the nature park. Check-in was fast and we got 2 double rooms that were quite spacey and very clean. Comfortable bed. The service at the hotel and the restaurant was good - kind and helpful. Good breakfast that was included in the price. Free wifi (although quite slow) and parking outside the hotel. There was a mini-market in the same building where you can find most things needed for a day in the Plitvice park. I think the the price / value rate was good and would recommend this hotel, perfect for a shorter stay and relatively close from the park (10 minutes drive).

Big room, comfortable bed, fantastic menu in restaurant. I would recommend, especially for visiting Plitvice lakes. Very convenient location. Also the receptionists were professional and easy to speak with.

The staff at reception on check inn/ checkout were friendly hotel is over three miles from the Plitvice NP on an un walk-able main road.Dated rooms need makeover.
Went for coffee to the cafe in the restaurant area rude unprofessional staff.

This hotel was our last minute booking. It is situated just off the road on the way to Plitvice Lakes National Park (about 9 km from its entrance). Free car parking is just near the hotel. We were met by nice gentleman from the reception, who helped us to take our begs to the 2nd floor (hotel unfortunately does not have an elevator).
Double bed was huge and super comfy. Room was spacious, quiet and very clean (we got mansard type of the room with small windows, but that did not spoil our impression about this small hotel). We liked quality rich breakfast that was included in the room price. Staff was also nice.
If you are traveling by car to Plitvice Lakes, I can definitely recommend this hotel for a short stay (good combination of the quality and price: it was cheaper from the hotels we saw closer to the National Park).

Must admit, compliments to the chef, food is tasty.
But everything else was simply bad.

There wasn't that much people. In one moment just two of us on a dinner. The athmnosphere was quite dull. Our waiter was more then bad service. He brought us more wine that we've ordered., explaining how normative for a glass of wine is 2,5 dcl.

All in all, good potential considering chef and capacities., empty hall with a reason.

We needed a place to stay the night before we planned to visit the national park the next morning.

The looks of the hotel might not be very appealing to most as it looks very 70s. However, the rooms is very clean and spotless. I can see that alot of effort are poured into taking care of this hotel. The hotel is managed by the National Park itself and thus, it will be able to gives you an extension of the Plitvice Lakes tickets. Just present the tickets to the front desk and they will stamped it so you can enter the park the next day again.

The front desk staff is very friendly and offered us packed breakfast/lunch when we told her that we will missed the breakfast because we'll be going to the park very early morning. So the night before, I was given a key to a locker inside a fridge to collect my packed breakfast. This is the first time I see a "locker fridge" - it has small locked cubicles inside the fridge.

I also had a set dinner at the restaurant for 90kunas is it's very worthwhile and delicious.

On the downside, there is no lift in this hotel but there is a porter which would help to carry your bags up from the carpark. The wifi speed is not the best either.

As for the location, it is situated around 15 mins drive to Entrance 1 & 2 of the park. Next to the hotel, there is a couple of convenient stores, restaurant and a gas station.

Because this hotel is associated with the park Plitovicka jezera, they will give you an extension on your day ticket for entrance to the park for another day. We went in the afternoon one day, got our tickets, did some things in the park, then had the hotel stamp it for the next day, and went again the next morning. This way we avoided any long ticket lines.
The hotel is clean, has an assortment of room types, has a good restaurant in it and comes with breakfast.I would recommend the hotel and its restaurant.
