If you’re looking for a quiet, beautiful place to stay away from busy Arugam Bay, this is the place for you!

The cabins were lovely, cozy and thoughtfully designed. You can really tell that they’ve paid attention to all the little details. The whole property is beautifully maintained, with plenty of comfortable spots to sit, relax and just chill.

The restaurant serves amazing Italian food 😍 and the yoga center is wonderful, well equipped and has a beautiful view of the ocean.

We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every single moment. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. And even after we checked out, they went out of their way to help us with our onward journey, which we really appreciated.

Le lieu est vraiment magique : les pagodes sont faces à la mer, on se réveille les pieds dans le sable. La salle de bain commune est vraiment aux pieds des pagodes et ne sont partagées qu’entre 4 chambres, donc ce n’est vraiment pas dérangeant.
L’accueil était parfait, le manager (celui qui nous a accueilli le premier jour) et les propriétaires étaient vraiment aux petits soins !
Véritable service digne du standing du lieu, avec un room service toute la journée.
Il y a un spot de surf à seulement quelques minutes à pieds, même si cette plage est bien moins animée qu’Arugam.
Allez-y les yeux fermés !

Il soggiorno al whiskey point resort ha coronato in maniera eccellente il nostro viaggio in Sri lanka. Abbiamo sperimentato la formula 'glamping' e l' esperienza si é rivelata strepitosa (oltre che comfortevole). Il resort é distante dal caos di Arugam bay ma calato in un paradiso terrestre vicinissimo ad uno dei punti piu quotati per surfare e perfetto per chi é in cerca di pace e relax. Il calore dei proprietari Nicola ed Anna rendono l'ambiente accogliente e familiare, e l intera struttura gode di ottima pulizia e servizi grazie anche al lavoro dello staff sempre pronto a soddisfare ogni richiesta.
Ottima cucina italiana e la pizza più buona dell'isola.
Sicuramente un posto in cui torneremmo volentieri.

Les pagodes situées au milieu des palmiers et en bord de mer offre un cadre idyllique. Peu de chambres et une plage pour nous seuls. Magnifique vue. Le personnel, professionnel et chaleureux. La cuisine italienne et les pizzas napolitaine dans un four à bois sont excellentes ! Être réveillé par les bruits de la nature et le soleil donne à cet endroit toute sa particularité. Sans compter les éléphants qui passent à proximité.

Tout :
- la cabane joliment aménagée et confortable
- le restaurant : très bonne nourriture italienne et petit déjeuner tout à fait correct
- la localisation de l’hôtel sur la plage avec des lits à disposition pour en profiter à l’abri du soleil
- le personnel compétent et accueillant
- l’ambiance à la fois calme et vivante
- Dolce la petite chienne adorable du patron

Établissement très bien tenu et propre, le personnel nettoie vos chambres tous les jours, un vrai luxe.
Le cadre, les logements soignés, élégant, la vue sur la mer est un spectacle, la restauration en service continue de 8 à 22h est excellente, le personnel est très agréable, il y a des équipements pour s’amuser. C’est un lieu de détente, au calme. Il y a une petite plage de surfeurs à 10 minutes à pied par la mer qu’il faut aller voir, l’ambiance est très sympa et vous pouvez prendre des leçons de surf sans l’agitation d’arugam bay.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Die Anlage liegt an einem ruhigen, traumhaften Strand und ist sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet sowie hervorragend gepflegt. Als Familie hatten wir eine ganze Cabana für uns, was viel Platz und Privatsphäre bot.

Das gesamte Team war ausgesprochen freundlich, herzlich und aufmerksam. Man merkt, dass sich die Mitarbeitenden grosse Mühe geben, damit sich die Gäste rundum wohlfühlen. Auch das Essen war sehr lecker und abwechslungsreich.

Wir hatten das Resort ursprünglich ausgewählt, weil wir dachten, dass man direkt am Whisky Point vor dem Hotel surfen kann. Leider ist das aufgrund der Veränderungen am Strand und der Erosion schon seit längerer Zeit nicht mehr möglich. Anfangs waren wir deshalb etwas enttäuscht. Zum Glück liegt der Pottuvil Point aber nur etwa fünf Minuten mit dem Tuk-Tuk oder rund 20 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt und bietet sehr gute Surfbedingungen.

Auch Arugam Bay ist mit dem Tuk-Tuk in nur etwa 15–20 Minuten erreichbar, sodass man die Restaurants, Cafés und das Nachtleben problemlos geniessen kann.

Insgesamt hatten wir eine tolle Zeit und würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Idyllic cabana on the beach. We loved the location and the staff were kind and very attentive. We all had a go at surfing and the resort recommended a local holistic herbalist for amazing massages.

Wat een paradijs! Wij komen hier heel graag terug! Je verblijft echt op het strand. De huisjes zijn fantastisch. Lekker bed, goede douche. Je kunt hier heerlijk eten en het personeel is super vriendelijk en behulpzaam.
Dank je wel Anna voor het heerlijke verblijf. We hadden heel graag langer gebleven! Tot een volgende keer!

Es sind die Details die es ausmachen, die Stift und Papier im Zimmer, Taschenlampe, Tigerbalsam, Wäsche gratis, immer per Whatsapp abrufbar und erreichbar....es ist eh immer jemand da. Sie haben extra für uns einen Beamer und Leinwand aufgestellt, dass wir die Fussball WM schauen konnten. Das Personal denkt mit und sind ein super Team. Anna die Managerin hat das sehr gut zusammen gestellt und die Leute geschult. Die Anlage ist mega, immer sauber und der Strand haben wir genutzt zum baden in den grossen Wellen. Ein paar Minuten laufen und dort kann man auch surfen in Paddulaw. Dort hat es nie viele Leute, nicht so wie in Arugambey!

Wenn wir wieder kommen, dann definitiv hier hin.

The host (Anna) was helpful and friendly. She was available almost all the time for our needs and even helped us organize outside activities.

The hotel is located near a beach that could easily be described as a private beach. It is also very easy to reach the city center.

The room was always kept clean.

The hotel has a restaurant that serves Italian food. We ate the best food of our Sri Lanka trip during our stay here. Additionally, the restaurant offers a 10% discount for hotel guests.

Great location right on the beach at Whiskey Point. It’s 25 mins by scooter or tuk tuk to Arugam Bay so if the waves are not working at Whiskey point, it’s a bit of a hike. A little hard to find but lovely peaceful beach and the staff are awesome

Le personnel est attentifs à nos besoins et envies, le lieu est soigné et bien entretenu, terrain de volley, jeux de société, eau fournie gratuitement, la plage est surveillée, nous avions une cabane avec sanitaires publiques mais ils sont au pieds des tentes et très propres, avec le vent la nuit, il ne fait pas trop chaud dans la cabane

We really enjoyed our stay at Whisky Point Resort. The rooms were clean and very nice. The beach were the resort is located at was lonely and beautiful, a must do is watching the sunrise there. The staff was super friendly and alert. We also liked the food and appreciated the free water they provide. We booked surfing lessons via the hotel which were great too.

Cadre idyllique au milieudes cocotiers, la nuit on est bercé par le bruit des vagues, la journée tout le personnel est au petit soin pour nous ! Rien de mieux pour se ressourcer et profiter des vacances ! Un petit coin de paradis sur terre 🌴🥥
