A charming boutique hotel in the heart of achrafieh Beirut . The house itself is 200 years old reminding us of our beautiful heritage .
It had everything I needed .
Beautiful building in the heart of gemmayzeh. The location is excellent and the staff were super helpful and professional.
Authentic and feels like home with amazing and personalized service. Concierge services were excellent. The architecture and art made every moment extra special. Great location.
The staff was awesome, the room was incredible and the setting is just one of the best in the city. The property is gorgeous and their back yard is one of the nicest spots in Beirut. The breakfast was exceptional as well
nothing really.
The central location between the old and the new town. Cute location next to many nearby cafés, coffee shop, shops, and small store stores. Easy check-in and easy checkout. The rooms were very clean and room cleaning service what’s superior.
I had many concerns about this property firstly that it is listed as a five star hotel, but does not accommodate as a five-star hotel or operate as one. The rooms do not have TVs or mini fridges upon checking in. I had to personally call in for bathrobes, an iron + iron board and a few toiletries were in a five star hotel. These items would already be included inside of the room without me having to ask twice. The shower gel dispenser inside the bath room was not filled and was empty so I had to call in reception to come fill it in at 11 PM at night. Upon checking in the hotel failed to mention that they held parties every single day from 8 PM till past 12 midnight which caused major disturbances of sleep and adequate rest and forced us to sleep very late in the morning and we were never fully rested for our whole stay. Upon calling reception, they have informed us that this is a daily occurrence and there’s nothing to be done about it upon asking to change our room or request was not taking into account. A five star hotel would not hold parties late into the morning and night where it would cause sleep disturbance for the kids who have paid thousands of dollars for their stay. Basic amenities and accommodations from a five-star hotel or not seen in our stay here therefore should be listed as a three or four star hotel at most. Also note that for breakfast, I have ordered a yogurt bowl but was informed that they were out of stock so I had to opt and order just fruit, these are just basic amenities that are included with a five star hotel, where the guest orders and requests will be approved and put through immediately even as basic as yogurt.
The art, the building and the quirk
Insides look old still
Superbe établissement et très bien situé. Tout le monde est disponible et très aimable. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.
Rien
Arthaus Beirut has a great location, and the overall setup and atmosphere are really nice. The staff were very welcoming, helpful, and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious.
The price is reasonable considering the location, but overall I found it overpriced given the issues mentioned above. With some investment in the rooms, facilities, and housekeeping, this could be a much better experience.
There are several areas that need improvement. The entrance is not very clear from the road, and the room we stayed in was quite small and cramped. The facilities also feel aged and, in some cases, not refurbished to the standard you would expect. I’m not referring to the character of the building itself, but to details such as electrical sockets, door knobs, wardrobe fittings, the lack of a TV, broken table lamps, and exposed wires. These are basic elements that should have been addressed during the refurbishment.
Cleanliness could also definitely be improved.
The people were incredibly warm and welcoming, and you could feel it the moment you stepped through the door. Their genuine kindness and willingness to help made us feel at home right from the start.
