I didn’t eat it.
It was ants in my room.
Very clean
Did not two hotels together
The breakfast was very nice. The room was pleasant, except for the road noise - it sounds like there is a racetrack next door! We would very definitely consider staying here again except for the noise.
The location of our room was poor. It was impossible to sleep due to the road noise and proximity to the airport.
Clean and friendly staff
Excellent hotel with immaculate rooms and convenience of shuttle to CLT airport. Staff was easy to work with particularly when we had a family member returning early to CLT due to illness. Big shoutout to Kayla at front desk for handling our situation. Thank you
Very comfortable for a short stay in Charlotte. Very close to the airport and only 15 minutes to south Charlotte commercial area. Good breakfast buffet.
No concerns.
Paying for parking after already paying to be at the hotel.
everything
nothing
I traveled to the area for work on behalf of my county Department of Social Services and checked into the hotel upon arrival. My experience at the front desk was disappointing from the outset. When I approached the desk, the agent did not greet me or acknowledge my arrival. Instead, he abruptly stated, "Last name." When I responded that I had a quick question, he repeated, "Last name," without offering any form of courtesy or professionalism. Given that hospitality is a core component of the lodging industry, this interaction immediately created a negative impression.
My question concerned the parking fee. Because my lodging was being paid for by the county as part of a work-related trip, I asked whether the parking charge could be billed to the room rather than paid separately. The agent advised that it would be charged to the card on file for the reservation.
I then provided the county-issued credit card used for official travel expenses. The card clearly displayed the county's name. The agent informed me that this was problematic because my personal name was not printed on the card. To verify my identity and employment, I presented my county identification badge, which includes my name, county affiliation, and employee identification number. Despite this documentation, he stated that he would make a "one-time exception" but insisted that my name should be on the card.
When I asked how other employees traveling for work are accommodated, he stated that "all other companies give employees cards with their name on them." This has not been my experience with government or organizational travel arrangements, but I chose not to debate the matter further.
After completing the transaction, the agent handed me my room key. I thanked him, but he did not acknowledge my comment or offer any closing courtesy.
My negative review is based on three primary concerns: the mandatory paid parking policy, the lack of hospitality and basic customer service demonstrated during the check-in process, and what appears to be an inadequate understanding of or protocol for guests traveling on behalf of employers, government agencies, or other organizations.
Clean facility, comfortable, and the morning breakfast staff was excellent. And I did appreciate you having a shuttle to and from the airport - extremely appreciated and helpful.
