First time i have been to The Churchill.
Visited at lunch for some food with workmates.
Everyone had a lovely meal and a drink. Stayed an hour. Service was quick and food was good.
Will definitely visit again with family when in the area.
Went out with my family for lunch . Lovely food and looked after by Nat. Will definitely come back again. The food was fantastic.
Lovely food!
Well looked after by a lovely lady called Nat very professional and couldn’t help enough well visit again soon.
The room was clean and big. it feels new and the pub next door was decent. it was a great location to explore Bath, the Cotswalds, Stratford, Stonehenge, and Wells/Glastonbury. There were some staffing shortages that led to some hiccups, but that was situational and shouldn't be a problem moving forward.
This is the second time I've stayed here, this time found out we had the disabled room which was ok, but omg it stinks. Like a strong airfreshner trying to cover something up, it takes your breath away, just awful
Decent quality rooms and friendly staff
Good price, clean and modern room. Good value freshly cooked breakfast.
Everything well above average
I stayed for one night bed and breakfast whilst attending a course . Was greeted by a really friendly lady on reception at 3pm on Monday 15th didn’t catch her name .
Room was clean and comfortable great simple pub food next door and was super quick service
Ev Charger right outside so made life really easy
Would definitely stay again
Suoer great location and excellent, modern and spacious room.
Nothing lacking. Definitely recommend a stopover or extended stay.
The Churchill Inn is next door. Food great.
Absolutely brilliant! We could not fault our stay here. From arrival and greeted by Josh who was super friendly, we had a fantastic night. The room was large and spotlessly clean. All the amenities you could need (hair dryer, iron and board, tea coffee etc). I will review the pub separately for our evening meal but the breakfast was superb. Service by Sarah and Ant was great, as was the food that followed. All of us changed the meal slightly and everything came out spot on. Genuinely cannot believe what we got for our money the whole time, phenomenal value. 100% Recommended
Staff were super helpful. Nothing was too much trouble....asked to put some items in a fridge overnight no problem. V accomodating. Lovemy breakfast though i woukd say cleanliness and decor at pub needs improving.....compared to the hotel which was new fresh and felt new compated to old tired decor in pub.
Toilets in pub had a sticky floor...never a good sign.
friendly welcome, the accommodation is approx 4 years old ,so it is in very good condition , ample parking and the food in the pub next door was good.
We stayed at The Churchill and really enjoyed our time here. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-presented, making it easy for our family to relax after a day exploring the Cotswolds.
The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt welcoming. It’s in a good location for visiting nearby attractions, and parking was easy and convenient. We also appreciated that it was quiet at night, so everyone got a good rest.
Overall, it’s a great value stay for families looking for comfort without breaking the budget. We’d happily stay again if we’re in the area!
I've not stayed in a Greene King hotel before (I've plenty of experience of their pubs though!) but it was a nice place to spend a night. The hotel seems fairly newly built and is clean and comfortable.
Pros: the bed had plugs and USB sockets right next to it (I hate hotels that make you plug your phone in on the other side of the room). The staff were friendly and welcoming, and gave us extra towels as soon as we asked. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, which honestly is all you really need.
Cons: about the only downside was that the shower head is one of those that is fixed to the wall (or actually the ceiling, it being one of those "rainforest" shower heads that are currently so popular). I personally much prefer a shower on the end of a hose so that you can properly wash all of yourself, not just your hair!
We didn't try the adjacent pub for our evening meal but it looked like a decent place to eat. Overall this was a very pleasant place to spend a night during our travels.
The stay was great room comfortable and modern and very clean great restaurant next door food great and breakfast lovely and good prices. Only issue i had was the walk feom.the bis stop was difficult as not a footpath and grassy so not the moast ideal or safe if you dont drive but still a brilliant stay overall
Lovely. Clean spacious room with good air con a must this week !
I had a fantastic stay at The Churchill in Swindon. The rooms were modern, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable—especially the beds. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The location is convenient, with free parking and a great pub and grill next door. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable visit
Lovely room, nice modern hotel, which is separate from the pub/food area! Staff nice and very good size rooms, and well placed for Motorway/road network
You get what you pay for, and this fit our needs for a convenient, clean, inexpensive place to stay for one night with A/C (it was unseasonably hot in England while we were there). The property was clean and easy to access from the road. Pub next door was good and accessible. Staff was nice. On the negative side, the bathtub drained poorly, which meant that by the end of the shower you were standing calf-deep in water. No amenities to speak of, meaning that there wasn't even hair conditioner.
Bottom line - this is not a glamorous experience, nor did I expect it to be for what we paid. It was clean, and it worked for one quick night. I wouldn't stay longer than that, but one night was fine.
Very modern & very clean rooms. Comfortable beds & breakfast in the Pub & Grill was very good. Warm & welcoming staff in both hotel & pub made the stay an enjoyable experience. Highly recommend staying here over any other hotel in Wootton Bassett.
