My toilet didn’t flush. My shower he’s kept leaking all night. Homeless people around the hotel. Under staff .

Good Comfortable Stay

We will be using this hotel regularly in the future and the associates were excellent!
Pros:

Breakfast offerings could be a little better but is on par with what is offered in national chains.

Cons:

We had long term quests next door who were slamming doors at 3 and 4 in the morning for their split shifts, but the staff will make sure that we don't get put by that kind of customer again. They were very willing to intervene for us.

Great accommodation. Everyone is very professional and at the same time approachable, friendly and Sebastian is funny
Pros:

Hampton inn El Cajon. The location is great, the hotel is fairly new. The general manager is the best. Sebastian is very accommodating and very funny. Anah and Laura are calm made you feel comfortable. Great experience. Will definitely choose this hotel any time. Thank you very much guys.

Pros:

There are lots of commendable things about this hotel. We had a king suite which was spacious. The bathroom vanity was large with two drawers that worked great for storage. Lots of surfaces to put things; lots of places to charge our tech. A comfortable bed. The room was very clean. Breakfast had several hot and cold options and there was someone constantly wiping up after messy guests and restocking food. There is a hot water/coffee station in the lobby which we took advantage of often.

Slight negatives of note... while the location was convenient, as other reviewers mentioned, the front parking lot gets busy with the line for in-and-out burgers. Also, there is clearly an issue with unhoused persons - the hotel has warnings on every external door not to let anyone in, the front doors are locked overnight, and we saw more than one unhoused person when we walked each morning along Fletcher. Also, while our room was very clean, there was nothing posted or mentioned about a housekeeping schedule so we did have to ask once during our 4-night stay so that we could get our trash emptied and fresh towels. None of these were significant or would keep us from staying again and recommending this hotel to others.

Will match your expectations, which is a good thing!
Pros:

The staff here is wonderful, the hotel is also newer and has a lot of great amenities given its location (food and the mall). There is also a pool and free wifi. The breakfast is also pretty good too. They are also pro-vet and servicemember.

Cons:

It is sorta' pricey, but I consider anything over 150$ per night pricey. Oh... and don't but the 'convenient food' it will cost you an arm and a leg. lol

Excellent quality inside, was very happy with the room
Pros:

Breakfast was great. They provided omlettes and waffles

Cons:

The location there is not the greatest. It was closest to where my girlfriend lives so it was convenient. Traffic from the in-n-out burger can block the parking lot that was annoying.
