Very high end feeling
We had a comfortable stay at La Vela although overall it was a bit underwhelming for the price we paid for two rooms.
No shower, broken tap ware, TV and fridge. The bath tap was fixed the other items were not. Small rooms The pool is extremely run down with broken tiles and decking. Would be a huge job to upgrade this area.
Friendly and efficient staff
The roof top infinity pool was absolutely amazing and our room on the 23rd floor had an amazing view of the city while also being incredibly clean and well kept, the breakfast was also absolutely delicious.
There was nothing wrong with the hotel itself, the only issue was that sometimes my card wouldn’t work in the elevator and I wasn’t able to get back to my room without the attendant swiping her card for me.

Great view of Siagon from the balcony. But that was the only good part of this hotel
Don’t be fooled by the marketing photos or the so-called 5-star rating — this hotel is nowhere near 5 stars.
While the room itself was clean, the public areas were run down and dirty. The rooftop pool was also poorly maintained, far too small for the number of guests, and open to external visitors who pay to use it. As a result, it felt more like a crowded public pool filled with noisy backpackers and obnoxious travellers than a luxury hotel facility.
The buffet breakfast was horrendous — dirty, constantly running out of food, and exactly the same every morning. The quality was low and felt very budget.
Overall, this hotel felt more like a 1-star cattle ship than a luxury stay. Definitely not worth the price and absolutely not deserving of a 5-star rating.

How friendly and welcoming the staff were
The hotel was very nice and had access to everything essential. Price was good for value
Great staff and facilities. It's a quiet hotel so you don't hear much noise from down on the street.
Room was gorgeous, bed super comfy and huge. Pool obviously gorgeous

They placed a 4million Dong hold on the visa card for room charges. We spent 3.5 million Dong. I expected a refund instead they insisted that we pay the 3.5 million and they’d refund
The original 4million. I wasn’t happy about that. They said it could take 7-10 days for the refund. We haven’t received it yet. I suspect we’ll have paid it twice.

Tolles Hotel mit super Service, geniales Frühstückbüffet. Unsere Betten waren super und angenehm zum Schlafen.

The fantastic pool is the attraction here. You have to be early to get a good sunbed (about 8 am)
Breakfast is also nice, and in a beautiful restaurant.
I should have chosen a double bed, instead of 2 beds. There was not enough room to put 2 suitcases.
The location is not ideal, but it's easy to solve this with Grab.
