Big improvement, not there yet, but they are getting there.
Pros:

Big improvement since last year. The reception was much more welcoming and check in was much easier. The lady behind the counter was pleasant, efficient and helpful. Don’t expect International standards so you won’t be disappointed. The cleanliness was much better this year and the housekeeping staff appear to be doing a very good job.

Cons:

The unrestricted smoking lets this property down. As an International hotel chain, they should be offering nonsmoking rooms to international and domestic nonsmoking travellers. Hotel service areas, such as laundry etc, should be nonsmoking. Laundry facilities should be cleaned more regularly including machine filters.

Nonexistent service and failure to provide promised facilities.
Pros:

Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Cons:

There were no staff on check in when we arrived. Breakfast was supposed to be included but was not provided. Staff were generally hostile and unhelpful. We could not work the washing machines and frankly for a hotel like this there should be a laundry service. The dryer didn't work. They woke us up at 11pm to pay because they couldn't be bothered to man reception despite claiming a 24hr reception. They had ample opportunity to request payment prior to that. Water wasn't restocked and there was no shampoo in the room. We had to wake them up when checking out (it was 8.30 not very early) to book us a taxi and they were unable to do so. Also despite being a large international chain, there was no info in English and no English-speaking staff. They then massively overcharged us to drive us to the bus station. All in all a terrible experience, avoid at all costs.
