Convenient stay near Fuji area
Pros:

Great views of Mount Fuji, at the rooftop and also from our room. Free drink offered in a restaurant upon arrival. Very spacious and comfy room, including seating area

Convenient location. 15 walk to station, near big supermarket and Kawaguchiko lake.
Pros:

Haostay was one of the biggest hotel room we’ve stayed with in Japan. It’s clean and provided us a great view of Fujisan all day thru our bedroom windows. There is a microwave and restaurant at the 1st floor and a viewing deck at the top floor (4th floor). The breakfast is also good and filling too. We rented bicycle, a bit more expensive than the outside rental ones but we opted for convenience rather than taking the bike back somewhere.

Overall, we had a nice and relaxing stay. :)

Location for views of Mt Fuji - we were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji from our room and the shared rooftop both in the afternoon/evening for sunset and in the morning for sunrise. Staff were pleasant and room spacious and clean. It was easy to walk or cycle to the lake. You can walk to the railway station, but it is a challenge with luggage. Hotel staff were kind enough to prepack sandwiches for us for breakfast , as he had an early departure.

Cons:

Just double check with the hotel desk the night before, that your taxi to the railway station has definitely been booked.

We enjoyed HAOSTAY, but found that peaceful rest depends on your neighbors.
Pros:

The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and the facilities were tidy. We enjoyed the set breakfast and had a lovely view of Mt. Fuji from our fairly spacious room. Although we didn't use it, we appreciate that there are a few shuttle times to the main station (in the morning).

Cons:

The primary drawback was that noise carried easily through our room, perhaps due in part to hollow floor spaces in the elevated bathroom and tatami areas. We could hear neighbors walking around, which was problematic when it went on into the late hours of the night, and we could easily hear noise in the halls and doors closing loudly if people were not conscientious. This may be expected in hotels to some degree, but it was notable compared to our other hotels on this trip.
