The location was perfect for me. Close to the customer I was attending. It is also very near of few restaurants, supermarkets and other facilities around the place. The inconvenience, but not related to the hotel, is that there was a major renovation on the surrounding avenues.
The breakfast could have more options and my room was not cleaned during my staying. It was not clear for me during the check-in if I had to request my room to be cleaned. My recommendation is to have it clear to the guest during the check-in moment.

Location close to the wedding we attended.
Walking distance to stores & basic restaurants.
Some maintenance was needed. My son stayed on the 3rd floor & complained of sewer smell through out the hall.
The public bottle water filler was clogged and the filter red led indicated it was in need of a new filter.
Trash cans we over flowing out front of the hotel.
My wife and I and one cat stayed here four nights as part of a relocation trip to Stoughton. The town only has 3 hotels and this was the only one that took pets. As a Hilton property, I expected an up-scale experience. I admit I did not research the "Tru" brand, so I was surprised when I got a Motel 6 experience.
Here are problems with the “Tru by Hilton” hotel:
* The first room we were given was a double which what I booked. But the bed was unmade and had dark bits of lint or maybe bug droppings. We were switched to a king.
* A king room usually is the same size as a double so I expected some additional floor space. This king room we got is actually smaller than the double. Never seen that before.
* The room is tiny and spartan. There is no dresser (no drawers to store anything).
* There is no closet
* There is no counter top to replace a dresser top
* The desk is tiny
* There is only one chair and no table. There is no room for two people to eat in the room.
* There is no microwave in the room
* We were sitting on the bed reading and lights turned themselves off. Sorry, I will turn the lights off when I want to.
* The water faucet in the sink turns itself off before I can finish washing up or brushing teeth. Sorry, I don’t want the room to control that.
* The main door does not close all the way on its own. This is something I WANT the room to do. If I don’t pull the door shut and hear it click, is it not locked at all.
* I couldn’t get the room AC to do what I wanted. I had it set on AC. It was too cold so I goosed the temp setting from 71 to 73 and the heat came on. NO! That should never work that way. I’ve never been in a hotel room where the HVAC worked that way. The heat should NEVER come on when you adjust the AC setting up a degree or two.
* Getting the AC to run with “fan only” was almost impossible. After setting it to “Cool” (which you cannot do directly like most AC controllers) the compressor would run a while and then shut down, leaving the fan running. That is close to what I wanted, but there was no way to deselect “Heat” and “Cool” both to just have a fan running.
* All this results in no fresh air and a stuffy room.
* There are no paper napkins in the lobby area once the breakfast bar is closed.
For an average of $160/night plus tax and fees this “basic” hotel does not have ”basic” prices. Perhaps someone with simpler needs would find this hotel acceptable. But I will avoid "Tru" in the future.
Breakfast wasn't bad
The hotel room was clean and the hotel is in a convenient location.
It was in the area we needed, check in and out was simple. Bed was comfortable.
The room felt empty, no cups, no coffee maker, no ice bucket, not even a pen in the room. We later discovered ice and cups are at the ice machine rather than in the room.
Good location and value.
Trash cans, particularly outside front entry, need to be emptied regularly.
Walls are not very soundproof.

The room keys kept zeroing out. Had to replace x3. Missed coffee maker in the room.
Breakfast was muah. It wasn't developed in Wisconsin . Instant food is not an option, we went to the restaurant.
