Pros:

The place was great; incredibly convenient as the ferry service was literally at the door; the studio was spacious (accommodating the 4 of us), clean and practical, with the most beautiful view. The kids really loved swimming in the lake + the snack station by it was a bonus!

Cons:

We had an issue with the aircon but the staff tried their best to solve it.

We had a great stay which made our first trip to Switzerland so memorable
Pros:

I liked the location in general because it was on Lake Lucerne and we could see the lake from our room which was the best part about it. The staff was helpful and very accommodating. The rooms were clean and we really enjoyed our time there. The parking garage was also a nice add-on. It was nice. We didnโ€™t have to leave the car outside and it was covered just in case it rained.

Cons:

I didnโ€™t like that the location didnโ€™t have a lot of places to eat around it. So if youโ€™re going to stay here, make sure you have a car and that youโ€™re able to travel away from Weggis to find some food. I also didnโ€™t like how small the showers were and that the room did not have a tub. The views from the room made up for that, but that would be the only thing that I would change.

The most relaxing long weekend by lake
Pros:

The hotel is really 10/10. The absolute highlight was the easy access to the lake accompanied by sauna right in the park. The studio we had was convenient, clean and had AC and a nice balcony. Gym was small but had everything one needs. Arriving with the ferry is super simple. Local bus stop just next to the hotel and it is free!

Cons:

The restaurant is basic swiss quality: food is OK, service was tip top.

The room we received was in a very poor state of maintenance and cleanliness. In addition, we found a large spider and many smaller spiders on the towels in the bathroom, which was extremely unpleasant.

In a situation like this, I would have expected the hotel management to immediately move us to another room of the same standard that was properly cleaned, and to make sure the original room was thoroughly cleaned as well. Unfortunately, this did not happen.

Instead of being able to simply enjoy our stay, I spent two days dealing with the hotel management regarding basic cleanliness issues in the room. This was very disappointing and not the level of service or cleanliness I would expect from a hotel.

Kid friendly/ gluten free meal/
Pros:

We had a truly wonderful stay at Campus Hotel Hertenstein. It is such a beautiful and kid-friendly hotel, with an incredible location directly on the lake. Our children loved being able to enjoy the water, paddleboarding and kayaking, and the whole setting is so peaceful and relaxing.
The rooms are very spacious, the views are absolutely breathtaking, and the atmosphere throughout the hotel is calm and welcoming.
What made our stay especially memorable, however, was the incredible food and service. I have celiac disease and must follow a strict gluten-free diet, and Chef Christian went above and beyond for me. He prepared some of the best gluten-free meals I have eaten in my entire life. Everything was absolutely delicious, and I was so impressed by the care and attention he gave to my dietary needs. Traveling with celiac disease can sometimes be difficult, so this meant so much to me.
I also want to give special recognition to Luca and Enre . They were kind, patient with the kids,attentive, professional and made us feel very welcome.
The hotel is awesome on its own, but the people working here( ladies on the front desk also were very friendly, polite, extremely kind and very respectful)are what truly made our experience exceptional. We are leaving with wonderful memories and would absolutely love to return. Highly recommended, especially for families and anyone who needs gluten-free dining!

Pros:

The location and property are beautiful. Nothing goes perfectly when traveling but how staff responds to challenges at a hotel makes all the difference. This hotel's staff was exceptionally responsive in making our stay wonderful.

Pros:

We stayed in the family apartments.

We liked the hotel's excellent location, its beautiful private lakeside beach, and the fact that the apartments were spacious and well-equipped with everything we needed

Cons:

we did not like that the family apartments were located quite far from the hotel's private beach. We also found the level of maintenance and cleanliness to be only average, and felt that the outdoor areas around the buildings lacked proper landscaping and upkeep.
