Comfortable and well located
Pros:

Very comfortable and great sea views. Well located on boardwalk near restaurants and within walking to the pier travel departure point.

Cons:

Information about the property policies (eg parking and breakfast times ) is sometimes not easy to locate. There is no physical hotel directory in the room- it relies on scanning barcodes on the tv to find information or talking to hotel staff. No physical tourist brochures in foyer also - everything relies on electronic channels.

The hotel you needed and did not know
Pros:

The location was everything! Loved the view from the room which was overlooking the esplanade. This was our third visit to the hotel and always enjoy our stay here. We will be back.

Cons:

There was nothing we did not enjoy about our stay at Crystalbrook Flynn.

Nice and convenient location
Pros:

The Flynn is big very clean, great, friendly staff nothing was a bother to them, we had a great experience there.
Only thing a full-length mirror in room would have be nice, and a grab rail in shower as can get slippery standing.
Only negative was our room did smell a little on arrival, as we had a urban no balcony room, it did go away eventually but if you can afford get a balcony for fresh air into the room.

Close to night markets, very small, and a lot of places to eat, short walk to reef terminal etc.

To our suprise being close to all the action and music our room was quiet, there are 2 towers, lifts 2 pools one was heated.

Will stay again.

Lovely overnight stay in the heart of Cairns
Pros:

Location on the esplanade was fantastic. Staff were super friendly. Bed and room was comfortable and the bathroom was nice.

Cons:

Cockroach’s in the kitchen/bar area.

Only place I stay in cairns as it’s worth the money always clean
Pros:

Love the service except from the bar below on the ground floor waited over an hour for chips and 2 cocktails ordered from the 2nd level pool area and had to go chase up both drinks and food over the hour. Love my lollies were not there on arrival but a lady dropped the off on the second day it’s the little things. Love the inclusion of the Pilates reformer is there any chance of a sauna on the property?

A REASONABLE 4 STAR HOTEL
Pros:

This is a 12 story twin tower accommodation unit set very close to the Esplanade in Cairns.
Purports to be 5 star but misses the mark. Perhaps 4 star

Our room was allocated on the 12th floor which had a view over the pier shopping complex in the marina and the mud flats which serve as the waterfront in Cairns. Pleasant enough outlook.

There was a small external deck where you could relax if wanted.

Overall, I considered for the price, that the room was relatively small ( probably 30 sq m at most) just enough for a king bed ( actually two singles pushed together) couple of chairs and small table. Hanging space in the cupboard with adequate but storage for anything else in drawers was limited.

Took some time to understand the Airconditioning given that there are no instructions whatsoever on its operation in the room .
Reception was ok and we were attempted to promtly, but the staff lacked detail knowledge of various attractionms, transport etc whch a reasonable concierge would have. However, they overlooked the fact that you need your key tag to go up to the elevator. This is not a rare occurrence but one would expected to be told that at reception. We were not the only ones confused when we couldn’t book our floor
Shower pressure is very ordinary, but wifi download speed is excellent
The hotel has two swimming pools. These are lap poosl. One pool is devoid of sun, and the other gets sun on only 1/4 to 1/2 of the poolside deck
Cleaning was basic only, changes sheets and towels , not small bits off the floor and side tables
Only two black tea bags provided per day but no tea towel to clean up any spills etc
