The bed wasn’t too bad and there was wifi.
EVERYTHING was dirty, and if it wasn’t dirty it was broken. The toilet flush continuously dribbled water, the light in the toilet was broken, there were wires sticking out the wall where lights once were, the AC was hysterically loud and an artefact from the 19th century. There wasn’t even a lift. We avoided having a shower for our entire stay because we were scared of the bathroom - it looked like a bathroom out of an Eminem music video.
Staff friendly and helpful
Big room good ac
No water pressure on bathroom but was able to make do
Nothing, it’s shockingly dirty and in ill repair
Dirty rooms, filthy bathroom, ceiling falling down, damp patches everywhere
I could check in late. The gentleman even carried my small trolley upstairs and for that I'm grateful, as I was beyond tired and had a migraine.
The air con was so noisy, I couldn't use it. I was shown another room, but the air con was just slightly less noisy and the room had a problem with the toilet flush system.
Well, to be fair, I've tuned on the air con a few times, because of waking up all sweaty. But needed to switch off again after a few minutes, because it was so noisy.
My room had no hot water, but the worst was that the water was just a tiny bit of water tht made it hard to shower. The shower is on top of a very old, dirty bath. The sink was squeezed, the toilet flush was open, exposing very dirty water. The toilet was very old and stained, with broken pieces.
The bed was too soft, but the pillows were fine.
There was a clean sheet to cover oneself, but under it, to my surprise, there was one of those wool blankets that seldom get washed. So, the dirty blanket was on top of the sheet where I slept and under the sheet I was supposed to cover myself with. Therefore, everything was dirtied by the wool thin blanket. When I left the hotel I could see that they do take the white sheets to wash, but not the wool blanket.
The room was dirty. For instance, the drawer of the bedside table had a dirty cable in it.
I'm not picky, so, if the shower had more water, albeit cold, and if the sheets were not in contact with the dirty wool blanket and there was a fan (to avoid the noisy aircon), I might have stayed.
About amenities: there was toothbrush and toothpaste, soap in a dispenser. There was no toilet paper.
I wasn't given the password tor the wifi.
That's another thing: you check in and it is as if nobody had ever checked in before. You need to ask for every item. If you forget to specifically ask for something, it won't be there. Like the toilet paper. Tired and already distracted with the aircon issue, I forgot to check for the toilet paper and the wifi password. I did remember to ask for water and got bottled water. A small bottle.
