Very nice hotel, just not a whole lot to do in the immediate area m.

10 minutes away from universal studios and best clean and smelling hotel I’ve been to in a minute.

The hotel location was perfect for our needs. We went to Universal Studios and that Farmer's Market on Sunday is our favorite. The Hugo's across the street and Whole Foods is convenient. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. The parking was easy. The room was very comfortable. I did think there was going to be a pool, but the hot tub is a good size, and we didn't even have a chance to use it -- but would have. All in all, it's a great option.

The staff was really welcoming and accommodating. I appreciated how friendly everyone was and how they made me feel comfortable during my stay. The only minor thing I didn’t like was that carpet cleaning was scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m., and we had just gotten back from a Halloween night event at 2 a.m. However, when I asked them to skip my room, they kindly did which I really appreciated!

We arrived, there was a several things that needed to be addressed: the room smelled like a skunk. Then our key did not work, (battery was died on the door). Then the bathroom sink would not drain. These were all addressed and taken care of quickly by the staff. It was a bit inconvenient because I travelled 14-hours and was tired. The ad says breakfast included. You have to pay for breakfast. But there is a restaurant across the street that will give you 10 percent off your meal if you show them your room key. (Best butter milk pancakes) There is parking underneath the hotel for $25 plus tax If you leave in the underneath parking during the day there is a charge. (You can also park on the side of the street for free, we did only for the day time.)There is only 1 very small pool. The ad appears to have two. We stayed two days. The staff were friendly. With all these mishaps, I would still go back. But one of my sons says it is meant for those on a romantic trip. We went for the house of horrors.!

Great hotel. This is our second stay here when visiting family. Critique: had to ask for password for wifi. Room near pool and streetlights caused light from blinds all night. No cups or glasses in bathroom- used coffee cups. The hotel is very clean and attractive. GREAT a/c ventilation system and is quiet!

Nice and clean hotel with decent grab and go style food options. Staff members are kind and helpful. Great location near the freeway and Whole Foods.

Place is ideal for the location its set in. Close to downtown core.

Traditional Mexican style hotel. Simple, clean, staff friendly & helpful! Walking distance to Paseo de Montejo & Plaza Grande.

This property at Mariposa has really declined over the last year. We had stayed here previously and enjoyed. This time around, things have really declined. Room seemed hardly clean and view outside was deplorable area of property. I HATE writing negative reviews and am sad to write this one for a prior favorite.
