FIN DE SEMANA ESPECTACULAR
Pros:

Excelente experiencia fui con dos amigas y pasamos un fin de semana en Holbox. Desde que llegamos en el hotel, todo el personal muy amable, atentos desde recepción siempre nos respondian nuestras necesidades y en el restaurante todos muy agradables meseros, bartenders y la comida de muy buena calidad y deliciosa, y el servicio en la playa impecable. Regresaria sin pensarlo, me encanto la experiencia, la playa hermosa y tranquila. El hotel muy tranquilo, cero ruido, para descansar y desconectarse. Los cuartos muy limpios y espaciosos.

Not a 5 Star Resort. And definitely NOT a 5 star service.
Pros:

Located on one of the best stretches of beach on the island and within easy walking distance to the town centre. The beach set up is lovely, comfy beds and cabanas, always plenty of room, you feel like you have all the beach to yourself

Cons:

Paid a premium for a “sea view” suite, however from our room you could only see the sea if you climbed up a steep ladder to the balcony located on the second level. On arrival they kept us standing at reception 20 mins going through a list of things we could not do and associated fees. The property is ok but do not expect a 5 star resort and definitely do not expect a 5 star service. The staff was the biggest let down of our holiday to the point we were uncomfortable being in the resort, it looks like nobody is in charge, they don’t really know what they are doing, one hour wait for food at the restaurant, no apologies offered, given some free guac and charged for the full bill, staff would smirk at you and look annoyed if you make any request or little criticism (our room had not been cleaned at 3.00pm and we were met with a “room cleaning stops at 4.00pm” remark and a annoyed face). The staff in the restaurant (with the exception of Luis who was lovely) behaves like they are doing you a favour a cannot be bothered at all. Also be ready for the “tip squad”: at the end of each meal they send out a person with the bill and they literally lurk over your shoulder (at night they point a torch down to your bill, which was so funny as it was light enough to read the bill) and watch you tip them, we had to ask them to leave on a couple of occasions.
When we checked out, we had to wait until someone checked our room and told reception it was ok. Not sure what they were expecting to find, I like to think perhaps we looked like rockstars who trash hotel rooms.

Do yourself a favour and walk to short distance to the town for great food and amazing service, everyone on the island was amazing and welcoming except in our resort. 100% would go back to Holbox, but would choose another resort

Loved it!
Pros:

We loved everything about this hotel. Far away enough from the busy town but close enough to easily visit. Very friendly and competent. Beautiful facilities and beach. Delicious food and drinks.

Lugar mágico frente a playa mágica todo perfecto
Pros:

Ubicación frente a playa espectacular la decoración el ambiente muy buena comida y desayunos show nocturno camastros de playa suite y cuartos amplios y cómodos

Cons:

Todo perfecto! Solo cuidado al hacer el aseo tan temprano con los ruidos a cuartos contiguos o debajo pero fue solo avisar y ya lo resolvieron

Schickes Hotel mit traumhafter Lage
Pros:

Ein wunderschönes Hotel, modernes Design mit vielen schönen Details. Super Sportangebot. Die Lage ist mega an einem traumhaften Standabschnitt. Leider gibt es viele total unmotivierte und unfreundliche Mitarbeiter. Ein absolutes no go für diese Preisklasse. Zum Glück gab es aber auch ein paar nette Kellner. Die Zimmer sind leider sehr hellhörig! Man hört jeden Schritt vom Zimmer oben drüber. Wir waren nur zwei Nächte da und nachts oder früh morgens aus dem Schlaf gerissen worden als untere Nachbarn nach Hause kamen oder früh morgens abgereist sind.

Cons:

Hellhörigkeit der Zimmern und einige unfreundliche Keller und teilweise auch Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption.

Spend your money elsewhere on the island would be my advice
Pros:

The surroundings were great, some of the waiting staff were great. The area was beautiful. Basically Holbox was great, the hotel was not

Cons:

So much, throughly disappointed with the hotel and would never go back, facilities not good, gym; most equipment old/ not working/ dirty. Checked in to the room and the sheets were dirty. No apology when asked to be changed. One of the reasons we booked was for the spa, they closed this with no explanation for our stay even when we had booked treatments.
Rude front of house staff. The list goes on.

Pros:

Le cadre naturel est exceptionnel, couchers de soleil sur le lagon. On se reconnecte à l’essentiel dès l’arrivée. Le personnel est aux petits soins, et mention toute particulière pour Alberto, d’une gentillesse et d’une disponibilité remarquables. La gastronomie est à la hauteur : des saveurs locales travaillées avec soin, dans un cadre idyllique.

Il ristorante…. Il personale poco gentile e sopratutto inadatto per una struttura del genere con dei costi da 5🌟… parecchi dietro i banconi e gente pochissima… 45 min 50 min per fare colazione senza ospiti nei tavoli .. erano 8 persone che si guardavano e le cose le portavano a rate… il caffè americano è pi dopo 10 min dopo diverse richieste portavano il pane con la malrmellata per esempio .. inaccettabile.. servizio pessimo…

Needs a lot of improvement and reception staff were not that helpful
Pros:

The property itself is very spacious and beautiful, the beach/outside area is very nice and the breakfast was good.

Cons:

The rooms itself are quite outdated and require maintenance. I could not even take a proper shower as there was so little water coming out. I did address this to the staff but this was ignored. Prices for everything in the hotel are unnecessarily expensive and the staff serving dinner were very quick to ask for a tip. Breakfast staff were friendly however service was extremely slow- we waited nearly 40 minutes to get out bfast. They also do not provide free bottled water at the hotel which i think is a basic necessity- they tell you that the bathroom tap water can be used. Finally, as most of the reviews mention, you can hear a lot of noise in the rooms. I’ve noticed all negative reviews are being replied to with ‘your stay was from a year ago and we have since improved’- this is not the case as my stay is from March 2026.

Pros:

Wir hatten einen absolut traumhaften Aufenthalt im Aldea Kuká. Von A bis Z hat einfach alles gestimmt.

Die Lage ist perfekt und der Strandabschnitt ist mit Abstand der schönste auf ganz Holbox. Die gesamte Anlage ist unglaublich schön gestaltet, sehr stilvoll und gleichzeitig entspannt. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl.

Das Essen war hervorragend und hat unsere Erwartungen sogar übertroffen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir aber das Personal – alle waren extrem freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein.

Die Bungalows sind etwas hellhörig, was uns persönlich jedoch überhaupt nicht gestört hat. Wir haben trotzdem sehr gut geschlafen und uns rundum wohlgefühlt.

Wie es in der Hochsaison ist, können wir nicht beurteilen, aber für unseren Aufenthalt können wir klar sagen: Für uns ist das Aldea Kuká das schönste Hotel auf Holbox – und definitiv ein Ort, an den wir gerne zurückkehren würden.
