Semen stains and shame.
Cons:

It was the dirtiest hotel I’ve ever encountered, a black light would have revealed it to the shooting location for a Mozambican porn company. The bedside chair had a semen stain just beneath a curved sweat stain that was presumably from a butt. The walls had a running gelatinous stain that I was afraid would greet me in the night. When we walked in, my wife said “is that poop?” I still don’t know if she was wrong. The carpet leading to the rooms was a smorgasbord of shame. I was confused, worried for my health, and saddened that I had prepaid. To avoid infection we chose to leave and stay at a hotel nearby that actually washes their sheets.

Pros:

Great hospitality, breakfast, restaurant and room space. So far the best option in Nampula.

Cons:

There was a big cockroach on my bed, which could happen in any hotel in summer time, so I don't blame.
