Apartamentos La Guarida 1820

We like the Spanish feel of the property. It was situated very close to La Rambla in downtown Barcelona. So walking about was very easy. It was also really close to the waterfront where we could run every morning and enjoy the fantastic view. The only thing was trying to catch a cab.

El departamento realmente bonito, muy bien ubicado, muy completo. El único problema el ruido de la calle. Sin tapones para los oídos imposible dormir y aún así fue difícil.
El departamento de al lado estaba en reparación y aparecieron cucarachas, una mensaje al encargado y llegaron a fumigar. Muy efectivo todo.
Si no eres de sueño ligero, muy recomendable

We stayed at appartments guarida i feb 2025.
We were in a "two bedroom appartment" The apparment could sleep 5 people. One room with double bed and bunk bed and another room with kitchen, diningtable and a sofa where 1 person could sleep. So be aware that there are four beds in one room. When it was called "two bed room appartment" we were a little dissapointed with this. We dont think this was written clearly in the announcement.
Apart from this the appartment is really nice. Own balcony to the street. superb location close to the market, rambla and gothic area. There is a small supermarket just across the street and a bakery.
There storeage lockers, so you can store your luggage.
The check in procedure went really smooth. On the day we recieved an email with code to front door and to apparment door. Very easy and worked perfectly.

Todas las camas estaban plagadas en chinches, esto fue comunicado a los propietarios desde las 5 am sin embargo no dieron respuesta hasta las 4 pm, indicaron que habían cambiado los colchones pero en la noche encontramos chinches, esto provocó en nosotros alergias severas y fiebre, no es recomendable para nada este lugar, no debía estar habilitado para alquilar

Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht. Eine geräumige schöne und moderne Altbauwohnung.

Checkin - completed the online check and advised that we would receive a code to enter the premises and finish check in at electronic kiosk. Never received a code or any correspondence from them contacted them on the way to the venue at 6pm - the male who answered spoke no English (expect this as in Spain) was told ring back in an hour - attempted this 3 times - was answered then when I spoke was put onto a answering machine in Spanish? Eventually after another hour (2 in total) received a WhatsApp text - eventually receiving all the information required. Completely understand that in Spain they will speak Spanish - but if you’re going to advertise internationally you must have a way to communicate with people who do use the apartments and not just ignore them. That is my only issue - the actual apartment was fantastic, close to everything! Clean and well presented. Metro is only 5 min walk along with the markets and a number of great restaurant's, small market (shop) directly across the front door as well. Very well located.

Sehr schöne große Altbauwohnung (3 Schlafzimmer, Wohnraum, Bad und zusätzliche Toilette) mit guter Ausstattung in unschlagbar zentraler Lage, wenige Meter von den Ramblas entfernt. Klimaanlage, WLAN und TV vorhanden. Bäcker und kleiner Supermarkt gegenüber, Markthalle 50 Meter entfernt. Zutritt über Codes an Haus- und Wohnungstür. Wir haben uns sicher und wohl gefühlt und würden hier wieder buchen.
Allerdings recht hellhörige Wohnung, nachts laute Feiergeräusche aus der Nachbarschaft möglich, bei gutem Schlaf aber kein Problem. Einige Fenster sollten vielleicht gelegentlich renoviert werden, da sie nicht sehr gut schließen.

Cockroaches were coming in from the outside.

We had to contact the apartment on arrival as we hadn’t received the check in information. We were eventually given everything we needed though. You are given a code for the front door and a code for your apartment.
We guessed the check in procedures were an issue for others also as on our first night we were awaken at around 2am to some new arrivals trying to get into our room!!
Yes the apartments are rustic and not perfect but we thought that added to its charm.
Downside is that it’s so noisey! Not great for light sleepers. There is always some noise coming from the streets below whether that’s late night revellers or street cleaners. Apart from that it’s a great apartment in a great location perfect for exploring Barcelona.

Väldigt bra och centralt läge, men det gör också att det är mycket ljud från gatan till sen på kvällarna.
Inget störande men bra att veta om.
Väldigt fin inredning och bra med 2 seperata sovrum när men resar med barnen.
Jättebra kommunication med värden via WhatsApp.

The location was amazing!! The property was clean and good, but the sheets on the bunk beds didn't seem clean. That was the only issue. The rest was terrific!

We stayed here for my friend hen weekend, it was the perfect apartment for 7 of us, loads of space & in a great location central to everything. Would definitely recommend!
