Shocking customer service
Nothing was good customer service really bad rip you off ask for deposit and then tell u u will be charged if u send your bank detail via text they don’t reply don’t answer calls took me an hour to get into the building it’s horrible never going again and still haven’t received my £100 deopist back
Everything
The apartment was clean and tidy
Unfortunately the people above me on second night were playing loud music did ask them to turn down music but after a while they turned music back up didn't stop until 3am. Didn't get much sleep. Which is a shame as apartment was clean and tidy .
Nothing
The apartments are not as advertised, the pictures make the place look much larger and more modern than it actually is. I found the check in process so impersonal and customer service is poor.
Further to this, it was not made clear at the time of booking that the owners would be in contact to charge a deposit for the apartment. So I booked the apartment which when i booked it didn't mention anything regarding a booking deposit . I got a mail asking for 100 pound deposit which didn't sit well with me if I'm honest as seems like a scam tactic.
They send you a message telling you to pay £100 deposit or you can’t get in, which was more than the whole cost of the apartment…
From the second we arrived we got there confused on how to get in checking emails and texts to see if there was any information to let us in, there wasn’t so we called the property to which we had the phone ended on us 24 times! I called and called to which i finally got sent a message that they were unable to talk, and we needed to message to where it was said we needed to pay an extra £100 deposit, we were mad but paid the deposit to which we then got the lay and entered the room.
The £100 deposit for any booking, which is refunded after checking out but also will charge a fee if the refund request is made after 48 hours of checking out. Sky city apartment tried to rip me off by charging me a fee for requesting for my security deposit after 48 hours of checking out and in the end made false accusations that we had smoked cigarettes in the apartment and we are not smokers. They even deducted £15 for cleaning the apartment.
The place of the tv couldnt watch it as it was on a side well needs a pull out bracket so u can see it while u are in bed
Lokalizacja, parking
Brudne ściany, meble, włosy w łazience, brak papieru toaletowego, dodatkowe opłaty za późniejszy przyjazd mimo ze nie było żadnego personelu ani recepcji.
Very clean had everything you need ideally situated
Netflix
I stayed at Sky City Apartments from 7–8 March and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing.
After paying around £90 for the room, I was then required to pay an additional £100 security deposit, which significantly increased the overall cost. The check-in process was also unnecessarily stressful. Customer service is extremely difficult to deal with as they do not answer phone calls and only communicate through messages on Booking.com.
Initially I was told I needed to download an app to access the key, but the app didn’t work at all. After a lot of back and forth messaging, they eventually provided a safe code instead, but only after asking for proof of payment that is difficult to provide through Booking.com. The whole process felt disorganised and poorly managed.
The apartment itself was average, but another issue was the temperature control. The heating/AC is locked so you can’t adjust it yourself, which meant the room felt hot and stuffy throughout the stay. Even opening the windows didn’t make much difference.
The biggest issue came with the security deposit refund. Out of the £100 deposit, only £77 was returned. I was charged £20 for a late checkout, with the claim that I left at 12pm. In reality, checkout is 10am and I left just before 11am. A further £3 was kept as a service fee. It felt very unfair and left a bad impression.
The only positive during the stay was that the apartment had Netflix.
Overall, the experience felt poorly managed and unnecessarily stressful, especially with the communication issues and deposit deductions. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again and would not recommend it to others. Looking at the number of similar negative reviews online, it seems this is a common issue.
