The property itself was great. The room was very nice. I liked the layout. The bathroom was clean. No complaints about the room.

Cons:

The check-in instructions were confusing. I had no idea where to go when I got there. The QR code didn’t work so I couldn’t get any information about where to get breakfast or food or anything. When trying to get to the coffee shop, luckily there was someone to ask because overall the entire experience was confusing and no recommendations for parking Maid the whole thing extremely challenging for a single female traveler.

The former Quirk Hotel is still a great place to stay!
Pros:

Really clean everywhere. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The rooftop bar was very nice as well.

Cons:

I did not see any employees or have any interaction with any. Not that it was bad, just different.

When I can find a good deal, I’m always happy to stay at The Doyle when visiting my UVA student.
Pros:

Proximity to train, restaurants, and the university. Super clean and bright room. Very comfortable. Enjoyed having a bookstore onsite! I also enjoyed a lunch at the adjoining cafe- lovely!

Cons:

Depending on when you arrive, the lobby area may be dead but I knew where I was headed and didn’t require a greeter.

Pros:

I loved how proximate it was to the downtown mall. Blackcow Chophouse being across the street is an added bones. Great pair! The room itself was huge and clean. I loved all the furniture and additional seating. How clever.

Cons:

Having no exhaust in the bathroom. No lotion.
