The location was wonderful. The staff was exceptional for helping me with a my needs. The room was more than what I expected. It was truly just what we needed for an after holiday break!
I would have gone to the lobby bar multiple times but it was never opened.
Beautiful building. Comfortable and great location.
Every half hour a light flashed from a box on the wall. We had no idea what the box or the flash did.
Fantastic location. Beautiful space and super comfortable and clean room. Loved the rooftop bar/restaurant.
The only thing now alluring about this hotel is the rooftop bar/restaurant and location to the walking mall!!!
Horrible customer service! Dirty, rundown facility! And over priced!! At check-in I was not given my “access code” to my room. I had to go back to the front and request it as it had still not been texted to me. Checking out at 11:05am i was locked out of the elevator to get back to my room for my roller bag. That was ridiculous!!! Very disappointing!! I stayed at the Quirk 3 yrs ago and had an excellent experience! New mgmt needs to wake up to the issues!!
We liked everything and will return.

the bathroom wasn´t particularly clean and the coffee maker didn't work very well - the hot water tasted like melted plastic

It’s close to UVA very clean and nice
Surprisingly bad service. When I arrived, a parking attendant rolled his eyes at me when I told him I didn't need valet parking. He claimed this was unusual, trying to pressure me into using the valet service. On the second morning, I told them we had little hot water and it took 8 minutes to get warm. The staff, who communicated by text from some location as they do not have a front desk, responded that they would fix it. They did not fix it, and they never confirmed whether they had stopped by to try. The next day, the water was freezing cold and we could not take showers. No response. That same afternoon, New Year's Eve, we ran out of the half a roll of toilet paper provided in the room. I asked for more by text (again, no front desk). I was repeatedly told that the hotel was too busy and didn't have the staffing to provide a roll of toilet paper because they were preparing for a NYE's event in the lobby. I jokingly said we'd have to swipe toilet paper from the hotel's public bathroom, and the response was that would be ok. Really, really disappointing that The Doyle would advertise itself as a hotel but refuse to provide basic service. Last, I paid for deluxe King room, which has a sitting area with a couch. There is no lamp in this area, and it is very dark. We could not read a book, as it was too dark even in the daytime. (The room has three lamps, no overhead lights, and is dark.) Upon checkout, I responded to the hotel's text inquiry that the stay was subpar, explained the reasons, and asked for a reduction in price. While they had always responded before, they never responded. We travel frequently. We will never stay in this hotel again.
