Beautifully decorated and very comfortable
Loved everything
Super clean and nice
Nothing
Loved the decor, rooms, cleanliness, Simone’s coffee and bar inside.
Small pool
Shady parking lot next door
I like that it has a kitchenette , very nice shower and comfortable bed.
That they didn’t have enough towels for the room when arrived and that you can’t get your own ice. Felt guilty asking for ice so many times.
I wish it has the option for apps to stream so I can put my own account. I dislike cable so much lol.
Disappointed that we booked the hotels for the amenities but find out we don’t have access to the lounge areas like it seemed on the website. Restaurant/bar closed at 4pm on Sunday when website said it’s open til 10pm. Asked front desk and lady said it’s different management than hotel. When asked, it’s the same company but different management which came across to me as a way to say it’s not her problem. The premium price to stay at this hotel is solely for the amenities and not just the room itself. Otherwise, there would have been much more affordable options near same location. Asked me how long I was staying and said leaving Tuesday and her response was oh so just one day (two nights though). Felt very dismissive of a response like only those paying more deserved good service. I said I was going to leave a 1 star review, didn’t raise my voice, but was frustrated with her attitude and she said I was threatening her which seemed crazy. A bad review isn’t a threat. Will not stay here again. Do not recommend.
Updated with photos to show bad design of room with amount of light. Picture shows blackout curtains drawn with zero lights on. They are hung too far away from windows and not wide enough. There are outside lights pouring in at night so never fully gets dark. The alarm clock is much too large and bright and all appliances have lights like microwave and thermostat making it difficult to sleep if you’re sensitive to light. Makes for great photos but there’s lack of thoughtfulness in the design. I had to cover all of the lights with clothing just to sleep.

It’s quite a trendy looking hotel and it’s a short walk to a cool part of town… value for money
The staff, and the parking situation. Out front are short term spaces which are free - a fellow guest parked his car there for over 2 days whilst we had to fork out money to park ours. The staff would say different answers about the car.
When you entered the hotel you were never acknowledged, a smile, or a welcome. We came and went and staff never lifted their eyes, the night staff especially.
And lastly, we agreed late check out. Return at midnight to see a note saying we don’t have late checkout and a drinks voucher. There was a wedding party so I imagine they asked for late check out too. Strange.

The photos for the suite are deceiving-it’s tiny. We stayed here last year with family for almost 10 days and it was amazing! Granted-we rented a 2 BR. When we were returning this year, we decided to give it another go. We booked a suite since we had only 4 staying this year. BIG MISTAKE. I thought it would be comparable to the two bedroom’s quality. It was not. No storage for clothes other than 8 hangers and open shelves that look like my college dorms shelves. No ironing board, no washer/dryer in suite (I should have read the fine print.) The beds are so uncomfortable, the pillows worse. The beds are full size-tiny if you’re doubling up.
On arrival, my kids of course wanted to check out the pool, except there was a pride pool party advertised for ticket sale to non-guests through and NGO. All was fine till the open marijuana smoking in and around the pool and my kids, the arrival of drag queens and breast balls we’re being passed around. This event totally acceptable for Austin-but for a hotel serving family’s they should have closed the pool for a private party. I did email complaining about the smoking-illegal in Austin. Several days have passed-no response.
The most concerning thing, the elevators. If you forget your keycard, it traps you in it and your only option is to take it to the basement garage and walk the stairs to the lobby-or your floor, in fact ANYONE can do the same-no security on stairwells. So why the false security on the elevator?
The doors to the room have no secondary locking mechanism, something parents with neurodivergent kids should be aware of.
The suite is WAY too small for a family. The hotel is a good distance from downtown, not walkable. I’m sad because we really loved and as such reviewed our experience last year, but we will not be back.
I will give a shot out to the best part of this hotel-the cleaning staff who were outstanding. Literally weren’t bothersome and we left the room and came back to an impeccably clean room. The hallways are also clean. So kudos to the hardest working staff and most important at the hotel. They got the stars, not the hotel.
Comfortable and safe, good apartment well equipped.
A/C was not working properly, control was not working well either.
Location: it is located in our favorite part of town, South Congress, close to 2 miles of back to back local restaurants. The hotel is small, comfortable, elegant. Staff were responsive and courteous. The room was spacious, and the bathroom too.
The first day we couldn't adjust the thermostat, it looked like you could handle it manually but wouldn't adjust. We talked to the front desk, and it turns out they control the parameters for thermostats, so they adjusted it to include our "desired" range, and the problem was solved.
