The location was the only good thing about this place. Close to restaurants and shops.
Everything but the actual location was atrocious.
We walked up and couldn’t even see where to check in , there were no check-in signs or anything. As we were search for the check in we noticed there were junkies everywhere inside the pub, particularly in the pokies section. We then walked up to the pub bar and asked where to check in and she gave us a key. The place was not clean when we got in there. The bathtub had brown staining on it and there was dust in the room. There was also the largest pile of bird poo I have ever seen sitting directly outside our bedroom window. There was what appeared to be “construction” work by our room door but when we left in the morning, we saw it was just a white board covering all their stored items in a unconstructed area. We also were put in a room right above the area that turns into a night club. I did not know this because it’s a country town and it didn’t give that type of nightclub vibe from the photos. I called downstairs and said what do we do and she just said there isn’t anything I can do about it and it’ll stop at 2am. So our room legitimately vibrated from 10pm - 2am from the DJ playing insanely loud music below. On top of that we were freezing for the initial 1-2 hours in the room as the heating unit was so crap it took forever to actually blow out any substantial heat. My partner did some research on this place during our time laying awake to the music below and all the reviews that are good, are fake. I felt completely lied to and was looking at 11pm at night for anywhere else to stay but nothing was available. Genuinely think I would have slept better in my car. The bed was atrocious as well and they only give you one pillow each. No heavy duvet or anything, just sheets. Thank god we had an ensuite toilet but all the tiles were cracked in there along with the aged and dusty state of it. Honestly do not stay here. Stay in your car if it’s the only place available, you’ll sleep better in it.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The Chef was outstanding with delicious well above average meals at a good price.
The restaurant turned into a DJ nightclub, immediately below us in room 1, until 2:00 a.m.
Cheap and comfortable
No powerpoint close to bed to charge phone and no light soruce near bed. Shower water temp was very inconsistent at 6:30am in the morning pulsing cold to hot every few seconds. Almost impossible to set a constant temperature.

Staff were friendly
The photos posted are not the room we received. We requested an ensuite and the shower didn’t work. Very unhappy. The pub goes to 2:00am which it doesn’t say and until 2:00 you can’t sleep
I paid too much for the room, which had no window to open. I requested a different room. There were rooms available, but they couldn’t fulfill my request
