Amazing seamless experience at The Canopy Hilton, Philadelphia. We had a room block for wedding with over 100 guests and we had top notch experience- thank you to staff for managing our large party and stay.
This hotel is in a great location, close to many good restaurants like the Reading Terminal Market and El Vez. The design concept is fun with art by Basquiat. It's worn down though. The filter watered station was falling apart. Our shower had limescale covering the drain. Rooms are extremely tight. Because of the lack of space in the rooms and common areas, it's not the best hotel for families with children. It's better suited for young adults.
Location.
The shower was not cleaned before we entered room. Hair was clearly visible on shower floor. There was an unsightly white fuzzy material used near sheer drain that we weren’t sure about. I don’t think it was fungus, but after the hair was found we really couldn’t be sure.
Good location
The AC system was loud or not working and we had to change rooms twice.
Despite the great staff, our experience was disappointing. Barn door for bathroom that didn't fully cover the bathroom door opening, a small chilled drawer rather than an actual fridge, and run-down decor (gold paint on mirrors over bed faded rubbed off to show metal underneath, furniture a bit beat up). Dust on bathroom mirror and glass shelves by luggage area, etc. No complimentary water bottles although they did have purified water at each floor by the elevators. No room service, no snack stand downstairs (have to go down to restaurant for a meal or go out to grab snacks/drinks). Just not a very comfortable stay, although the front desk staff, maintenance (we had an AC issue that was resolved), and housekeeping were all amazing. Restaurant was also good with great staff.
Location was ok, very convenient to Convention Center and Reading Terminal Market but a bit of a hike (moreso than it seemed on Google maps) from some of the major historical cites in Old City. If your trip is mostly for Old City, I'd stay closer especially since you have to walk through some less-than-nice areas (not unsafe just people spread out with blankets, asking for money) depending on which street you're going toward. Not a huge deal just would rather have been closer to the main sites.
Il bagno molto funzionale .
La colazione molto soddisfacente .
I materassi non confortevoli
Nice design, good location
Dirty room, despite the nice design the room was shabby and dirty, dusty and sticky.. The worst one was very loud and you couldn't turn it off because the button was stuck.
Loved this hotel! The interior is beautiful and filled with art and not corporate or generic at all. It feels special and unique to Philly. My room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was warm and friendly and very helpful. The lobby is always hopping in an energetic festive way, and some evenings there is live music. Particular shout out to my girl Devin, who helped me with all sorts of things, from printing to walking recommendations.
The hotel is located right in the center of the city. Although Philadelphia has a major issue with homelessness and can feel unsafe, this hotel felt incredibly secure. The room was small, but spotlessly clean. Unlike most US hotels, the air conditioning here was quiet and very pleasant, which made up for the windows that couldn't open. The made-to-order breakfast had a small selection, but everything was beautifully prepared and the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The valet parking was very expensive, but the valets were fantastic every single day—fast, professional, and they even took photos of the car before taking it over each time
The hotel is simply way too expensive for what it offers. Once again, we encountered a terrible bathroom design with sliding doors that offer absolutely no privacy—you can literally see everything inside the toilet and shower. Even though we booked for 4 people, there were only 2 cups and 2 glasses provided. There was an espresso machine in the room, but the pods were never refilled, and we couldn't even find compatible ones to buy at the CVS next door.

Hotel is walking distance to the Convention Center, the Market and Center City sites.
Attention to detail in my room. I needed a tissue and the box in my room was wet (not sure why) and had few tissues left in the box.
While the front desk was friendly the staff outside the hotel (valets) were not welcoming. A greeting and smile would have been welcomed.
Staff were friendly and helpful and the location was great
No complaints
Cóndor de la habitación, me encantó la cama y la almohada y la ubicación
