The beach is amazing. Miles and miles of sand dunes and surf with few others around. We truly felt like we had a private and secluded beach experience.
When we arrived at the hotel it was overrun with guests. There was a huge wedding being held at the hotel. We had booked a “Superior Queen room” with a king bed. We were not given this room, but instead a very substandard twin room. The hotel failed to honour our booking and we spent a very miserable night in a stuffy, mouldy room with extremely loud wedding party music blaring until 2 am. We were able to move into our booked room the next day. The hotel facilities are tired and lacking good repair. Plumbing fixtures are broken and corroded in places. Bedding was threadbare and the mattresses were hard and uncomfortable. The restaurant advertised various hours including evening opening, but in fact closed at 5 pm each day. The room quality descriptions and pictures in the listings are hugely exaggerated.

Everything. There were not enough towels provided in the room, so my husband went to the open door at reception to ask for some. As he approached the OPEN DOOR AT A HOTEL, a vicious off leash dog lunged at him and attacked his leg. He got away after several bites once the young kid in charge (maybe 18 years old) got the dog back inside. The kid said his grandma was in charge and had gone into town, and she’d contact us when she returned. My parents and I were just going to stay there while he went to the nearest hospital (forty minutes away), but soon after he left we saw a scorpion, so he came back to get us and we all just left. We didn’t hear back from anyone so after two days my husband called him to at least get reimbursed for his doctor’s bill (only about $40), and the owner said he would not be giving us a single dollar, only offered a non-apology apology, and one night free in his little house of horrors hotel. Now all we can do is wait and hope that the dog didn’t carry any diseases. Our vacation was four days, and we devoted one of them to dealing with this nightmare. DO NOT STAY HERE. Do not give them any business unless you enjoy dog bites, scorpion stings, and horrible attitudes.
Serene ocean front hotel. It was nice having the beach to ourselves. Pools are nice and relaxing. Rooms need major renovations. One of the two rooms- toilet didn’t flush, sink faucet was just a trickle. Switched rooms and then ac didn’t work, went back to the room w the toilet issues because of the heat and working toilet in first room. Staff is very nice and welcoming, no doubt this was once a beautiful hotel

This is an out of the way, little family run hotel. We liked it for just that reason. It's right on the beach and there are opportunities to see Tortugas at night and possibly hatched babies working their way to the ocean. There is a small restaurant with a sufficient menu and plenty of beer. Unfortunately, it closes at 5:00 so be sure to plan ahead. The room was a very basic but clean Mexican style room. We had plenty of hot water which was nice.
There is not really any cell service unless you walk on the beach to grab one bar of signal. The hotel claims to have WiFi but it mostly didn't work. For that reason when it was time to leave we had to pay with cash because the credit card machine couldn't connect. Be aware there is nothing in the vicinity, I was told the whole town has only 30 people.
Also beware - the Booking.com directions link took us to the WAY wrong location about 50 miles away. Use Caution, this is NOT in the city!

It was an overnight stop. The property sits on this massive, isolated beach ... stunning. Seems like turtles use it to bury their eggs judging by the tracks late at night.
Rooms were spanky clean albeit a little tired.

Un lugar muy bonito, alejado de todo (de todo literalmente), sin señal de teléfono, ni internet, en nuestras estancia tampoco había señal de televisión. Cuenta con 2 albercas y restaurante. La playa es para ti solito, muy limpia. Es algo muy curioso que en esta era de la tecnología aún se pueda disfrutar de la platica en familia y sin teléfono de por medio.
Durante nuestra estancia se presentaron algunos detalles técnicos que se entienden por la zona tan aislada en la que se encuentra en hotel. Pero nada que no se pudiera resolver con un cambio de habitación, o dos cambios. Jeje. Pero muy atentos todo el personal. Fue una estancia muy placentera. También cuenta con servicio de restaurante muy sabroso por cierto. Vale totalmente la espera, pero cómo no tienes prisa por nada, que mejor espera con un vista de la playa espectacular.
