Lake Gardens Arenal Villas

Excelente lugar

We had a wonderful stay at the Villas, peaceful & relaxing.Delicious breakfast delivered to our porch. Close enough to La Fortuna for any excursions you may want to do but away from all the crazy traffic etc…
Loved the villa & the view.
Will definitely go back when we are in the area.

What a beautiful view! Really enjoyed staying with you. The breakfasts options was so perfect! Beautifully presented, fresh pastries and fruits oh and the cappuccinos! Yum!
Kitchen is a little bare, would have liked to see drying cloths, scrubby pads, and a blender, but we were able to cook our meals. We didn’t rent a car so the walk into town was a bit of a challenge (hills and no sidewalks) but totally doable. The little town has little cafes and shops, lots of places to explore. Thank you!

Spent a glorious 5 nights at Lake Gardens. Beautiful property with incredible views and daily visits from guans, toucans, hummingbirds and more! We were in cottage #1, which had the most privacy, but all units were same otherwise. Marcela provided lots of information and was always quick to reply. The town of Nuevo Arenal has many great restaurants and the location was great for day trips to La Fortuna and Rio Celeste.

Marcela was a great host. She is very knowledgeable, and will give you recommendations on area dining or activities. Pool was cleaned every morning. We opted for a morning breakfast, and it was delivered warm and was very tasty. Room was comfortable, and we would stay there again if in the area.

This place is amazing. Great views and Marcela is very helpful with all our needs. She directed us to some great spots to visit as well. The kitchen was nice to have some home cooked dinners (local grocery store about a minute away). And for $6-9 a person they will bring breakfast to your room and the time you ask for - delicious. Can’t recommend this place enough. Only 4-5 separate rooms so the place stays quiet

Amazing experience! Host is very knowledgeable of the area and a pleasure to talk to. We thought it was a hotel but they’re individual villas. Amazing view from the rooms with full kitchen. Great food, town and lake is close. You don’t need AC here! Day was high 20’s, night was 19. Hearing the howler monkeys was pretty cool too! Lots of birds. Marcella told us of many free things to do in the area and how to find many attractions.

This property consists of 5 individual cabins that were self contained and included a separate bedroom (queen bed and large closet), bathroom, and a large room with mini kitchen, island and seating, another queen bed and a fold down couch that could easitly sleep another adult or 2 mid size children. The kitchen was well equipped with a 2 burner gas top, a toaster oven, and aelec frypan and rice cooker. There were dishes and pots and pans and utensils to cook with. There is even salt, pepper, and cooking oil there to use. There were also a pool and a covered BBQ area in which to cook. TRANQUIL setting and walkable to town.
The minuses were no microwave for reheating and no screens for the big sliding door on each unit.

Would definitely stay here again!! Marcela was so kind and helpful during our stay. She gave us tons of recommendations for local restaurants and activities so we could make the most of our time. The property is beautiful and has a breathtaking view of the lake. Lake gardens is also in a great location. Very close to shops and restaurants so you’ll have everything you’ll need. Marcela exceeded our expectations, thanks!

Beautiful views and very close to Nuevo Arenal. So many birds! It was a treat to wake up to the bird noises and howler monkeys in the distance.

Wonderful natural settings, pretty lake views, conveniently located. And villas provide definitely much more than an ordinary hotel room.

First we did the reservation through Hotels.com we got our reservation confirmation and everything. The day of the check in we drove for hours and at that place the owner wasn’t there. Never answered my calls and when we were able to speak with someone that person didn’t know anything about taking care of a place. The owner after being called a bunch of times said that he never got a reservation and we didn’t have one. He said that he only uses Expedia not Hotels.com but his place shows in every single page online. I don’t know I’ll never recommend it. It was a horrible experience and the owner was somewhat rude. Plus my sister said that the place looked dirty and not like in pictures
