Arch39 Phuket Beach Front

This is the 3rd visit over the last 2.5 years, do there must be a reason for returning, right?
Well location is excellent, staff are also very welcoming..
You are a short walk from Chalong Pier, which is where boat trips depart, so no lengthy travel time.
Also, while Chalong itself is relatively quiet, there are some delightful bars & restaurants within a short walking distance.
The rooms are also spacious & comfortable & water is hot.
There is a kettle, but no coffee, etc, but these are easily obtainable locally.
Family rooms are also great.
Whilst there is no restaurant or bar, breakfast is served by way of a buffet daily. The downside is that the food is prepared off-site & there are no facilities for keeping the food hot.
Disappointing if you want an hot fried etc, or Chicken sausage, but not a game changer?
They do advertise as having a gym, or fitness room, but don't get too excited as nothing works (it didn't 2 years + ago) & there are no pins in the work station, so aside from a bench & dumbells, forget the rest.

You won't find a hotel with better views from the bedroom then this.Absolutely breathtaking. The staff were all very helpful and the beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was a but limited but that won't stop us going back again. I spent my birthday here, with the afternoon swimming in the pool on the roof. i love this place.

Positive:
The check-in was welcoming. The location is amazing and the room view was exceptional. However, that's where it ends....

Negative:
I e-mailed the property twice (4 weeks before, and chased up 2 weeks before; no response.

The general condition of the hotel is dated and worn out. Furniture falling apart and mismatching. A lot of dirt in "hidden" places (under the bed, tables, corners, ceiling, etc.). Towels and linen are old and brittle and the shampoo and shower gel is the cheapest and smelliest "stuff" ever.

The worst bit: Breakfast! Everything is cold - eggs, pasta, pasta sauce, the lot! And I mean cold! Cooked and left in unheated containers for hours. My request to heat the pasta sauce and eggs was outright refused.

We booked and paid for 5 nights but left after the 3rd night. Such a shame though. This place could be fantastic with some TLC and warm breakfast items!

It is in a fantastic location and the Hotel was perfect.
The room was large and clean with excellent view over the bay.The beds are positioned so you wanke up to the view each day.
The breakfast was ok to start the day with.We would stop here again as the price is very good too.

During the big holidays, all the Phuket hotels, especially the ones next to the beach, increase their room rates steeply. But Ach39 is still affordable. That's good! No need to inflate the price just because all the tourists from the west are coming to this paradise island. As for the room, it is well maintained and has nice cooling AC. The Wifi is strong and fast as Superman and the bed and pillow were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good with a big selection of coffee. I especially like the spaghetti with the spicy chicken sauce. The rooftop offers excellent view of the area and also has a rooftop swimming pool. I did not try the pool, but it does look nice to dip in. Some improvement points could be the parking area, which is quite limited and also the TV reception is not that good with constant delays. Other than these points, I really recommend this hotel.

This is a nice basic hotel. It is very clean with many of the amenities that you would expect in a 4 star property. The rooms appear to be recently renovated and are spotless. They were cleaned daily. The bed was very firm which is normal for Thailand. Internet was very fast which made up for a lack of English channels on the television. The air con was new and worked flawlessly, keeping the room cool. As with the rest of the room, the bathroom was new and fully stocked. The hot water worked well. The free breakfast was ok, mainly catering to Asian clientele but we didn’t go away hungry. The room had an amazing view of Chalong Harbour and if you plan on going scuba diving from the many companies in surrounding blocks, you only have a short walk to the pier. There are many restaurants and bars within a couple of minute walk. The hotel also has a nice rooftop pool with a few lounge chairs. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. Overall, I would recommend this location to friends.

My first experience of this hotel is absolutely disgusting. They didn’t clean the room before I check in. The room was completely gross. I had to tell the staff to come over to clean it.

They let me wait in front of the room while they are cleaning and did not offer another available room.

The clean staffs are bare minimum. Not professional, they won't clean the floor and toilet if I didn't ask.

Bedsheet is still very dirty even after they change the new one. The bed not comfy.

Horrible hygiene, there’s a random street dog pee in front of my room.

I got a room on the first floor which has no privacy at all, it had one big balcony that everyone can walk by and see you through the glass door which is not what I saw before I book on Agoda. Also it was random kids screaming, running around, and staring at me through the glass. Yikes!

Durring the night there’s water running noise in the pipe on the ceiling a whole night also noise from another guest moving furniture.

Moreover, Breakfast here is horrible. Like the worst.

When I check out the staff tried to tricky to not give my deposit back.

Most of staffs here are unwell train men, disgraceful behavior. I dont feel safe at all.

I really regret that I booked this hotel. This is the worst hotel experience so far.

The location is nice, except that the hotel fronts directly onto Chalong bay and all the boats - which would be fine if the Thai boatmen didn't insist on high revving engines. As a result the very nice balcony is constantly spoiled by deafening boat engines. There is also no restaurant in the hotel and breakfast is a strange combination of salad and cold fried eggs, toast and cereal. In Sandbox times almost everything around the hotel is closed, except for one nice restaurant called Tamarind which I heavily reccomend.

Lovely hotel and large rooms. Breakfast was disappointing - nothing special at all. Gorgeous location

I booked a one-bed room but somehow got a family room when I checked in. I stayed there only for sleeping so it was not a big problem but if you want to stick with a room you booked, maybe better to check.
The location was really nice for diving as its close to a pier.

Beautiful rooms facing out on to Chalong Bay, check in and check out was fast and easy. Overall a nice stay, would go back!

The room was nice and spacious. I loved the views from my balcony of the bay. The rooftop pool was very nice. The staff was helpful and friendly. Overall a very pleasant experience.
