For the price the property was as expected
Pros:

For what you get in Singapore for the price. K Hotel 8 was what to be expected. I was travelling with my wife and 2 children. It was hard to find a budget hotel that could accommodate all of us in the one room. So to keep to a reasonable budget K Hotel 8 was the best choice. 800m walk to the train wasn’t that bad. A special shout out to Sam at reception. Sam went above and beyond to make sure our stay was good. He would book us taxi’s engage with my children. I have stayed at some of the high end hotels and Sam was on par with their level of service.

If I can change hotel most likely I will do so.
Pros:

The staff are very nice specially Mr. Sam
But the atmosphere of the place is like a storage place not a hotel..
There are boxes not open in front of the hotel and you will confused the location as warehouse instead of a hotel..
I recommend them to removed the stored items at front and present it as Hotel facade .
If I am alone i will not stay..

We only stayed at the hotel every night to sleep, so it was pretty okay in general.
Pros:

The staff were good and accommodating and provided us with our requests (e.g. bath mats, linen for the bed), offered us free drinking water, except for one lady who refused to give us disposable butter knife.

Cons:

The room was very cramped for 6 beds. There was almost no space left for you to move around. No cupboards available for the things to be put away. The toilet clogged one time and the shower head is unclean.
