Good for a short stay.
Pros:

Good location, close to the tram, even with a little breakfast in the morning. Room is decent for 2 or 3 nights

Cons:

Sadly the only available rooms where smoking allowed rooms and there was the cigarette smoke smell (but this one was to be expected considering the type of room)

Uncomfortable bed but good location
Pros:

Good location to see many sites of Hakodate. The room was very clean and well setup

Cons:

The bed is rock hard. Like sleeping on plywood.

Very enjoyable stay.
Pros:

The helpfulness of the staff. The front desk even printed out a local map in English when I said that I cannot read Japanese. The tea and coffee provided was excellent as was the buffet breakfast.

Cons:

It was a little far from the railway station.

Great room and service just could be a bit cheaper
Pros:

It had everything in miniature form, the staff kindly lent me a Japanese pin charger adapter and I managed to grab a morning coffee before I left.

Cons:

A bit further from the station than I would have liked, but the staff told me where to catch the bus/tram into town

Pros:

とても満足です。施設は年月を感じる部分がありますが、とても丁寧で、素晴らしい気遣いを感じました。部屋のみでの予約でしたが、トースト、卵、コーヒーの朝食サービスがありました。コーヒーは老舗の美鈴コーヒーがセルフサービスで自由に飲めました。アメニティは部屋には必要最小限のものしかありませんが、石けん、ひげ剃り、ブラシはフロントでセルフでピックアップでした。環境への配慮かと思います。宿泊客が帰ってくると、フロントスタッフがエレベーターのボタンを押すなどちょっとしたおもてなしが嬉しかったです。

スタッフの人の対応はいいのですが。
Pros:

初め和室を選びましたが、しばらく？使ってない部屋だったのか入ったら埃と冷蔵庫はカビでした。
フロントの人に掃除機とウェットティッシュを貸してほしいと申し出たら掃除の人が来てくれましたが、トイレも水漏れしていて結局ツインのお部屋へ。
しかし、数カ所あるコンセントも1箇所しか使えず3人携帯を使ってるこちら側としては不便でした。
金額も少し安くしてもらったし、スタッフの方の対応はとても良かったです。
今回は、五稜郭の桜を見ることをメインにホテル選びにしましたが、次にホテル選びをするならば違うところにします。

部屋の音が気になる
Pros:

部屋の暖房が温水を利用したものであるためずっと水が流れている音がしていてうるさかった
