Pros:

I have not been to many properties in Matheran, but I would say this is an ideal property for a fun vacation it is located over from the hustle and bustle of the city and you feel like you’re in the quiet hills cottage.

The property is old, but very well preserved and staff is very courteous and very helpful. It is just an amazing fun to sit in the morning or in the evening at the swing and listen to the birds chirping.

Even if you don’t stay here, you should come here to eat the lunch or dinner. The moderation food is wonderful and should not be missed.

Everybody in the staff is very helpful including the manager, Kiran

I highly recommend it.

Offbeat place situated away from city
Pros:

Just One word for our stay-fabulous!
The location, cleanliness, food, and rooms are great. Located slightly away from the hustle-bustle of Matheran town, but the location makes the stay great.
Ideal for couples, families, and friends looking for a pleasant climate.
Liked the place so much that we extended our stay!
Travel by train from parking lot to Matheran town in case you are not fond of horse rides. Horse rental services can trick you if you are visiting this place for first time.
