Amazing room with beautiful view and great value. Restaurant with delicious food at fair prices. The owner and his whole family were incredibly nice and welcoming.

I had a beautiful stay at Honey Land Hotel in Lalibela. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. They made me feel at home from the first day.
The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The bed was very comfortable, and everything was well prepared. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere and a peaceful environment, perfect for relaxing after visiting the rock-hewn churches.
The location is also very convenient, close to the main attractions. The service was excellent, and the hospitality was truly unforgettable.
I highly recommend Honey Land Hotel to anyone visiting Lalibela. I will definitely come back again!

Honey Land Hotel is perfectly located in the city center, just a short walk from the famous Lalibela rock-hewn churches. The staff are very friendly and always ready to help. They arranged my tour programs not only in Lalibela but also to the Danakil Depression and Gondar.
The hotel offers comfortable rooms, delicious food, hot showers, and fast Wi-Fi. It’s clean, quiet, and has a beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.
Honey Land Hotel is one of the best places to stay in Lalibela — highly recommended for anyone visiting the area or joining tours around northern Ethiopia.

Absolutely loved my stay at honey Land hotel! The hotel was super clean, the bed was comfy, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. It’s in a great location close to everything I wanted to see in Lalibela. They even helped me arrange transportation, and tour for Lalibela churches and surrounding which made things so easy. I felt safe and well taken care of the whole time. Highly recommend staying honey Land Hotel!!

Staff was very helpful

I highly recommand Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. Super friendly owner, who can give us many usuful information about Lalibella, and living in Ethiopia. Also he can arrange quite cheap transport to airport. Hotel serving delicious fresh breakfast made by wife of owner. Romms in hotel are large, clean, bed is very comfortable.
Dont think to much, just go to Honey Land Hotel Lalibela. You wont regeret it!

It is important to keep in mind that Lalibela, although it has one of the main attractions in all of Africa, is extremely limited in terms of infrastructure. So finding reliable people like Birhan, who runs this modest hotel, is essential. He arranged for the guide Muchaw to accompany me to the famous churches. Muchaw was another positive highlight with his great knowledge of the history of the place and his friendliness, characteristic of the Ethiopian people.

The hotel is located in the center of Lalibela.It was clean , spacious and we had a wonderful stay!
Birhan made all the arrangements perfectly about our transfer from the airport , the visit to the unique churches and our meals.
The hospitality we had was memorable!
The owner so gentle and hospitable.
Definetely we recommend it for anyone that wants to visit Lalibela!

立地は良く、ラリベラの中心の広場から10分程度の徒歩圏内。教会群からも徒歩で10分程度です。丘の上に立っており、客室からの景色もいいです。
客室は清潔です。ややトイレとシャワーに汚れがあります。雨季のため蚊が多かったですが、次の日の清掃から室内にスプレーをして対応してくれました。
アムハラ州内の内戦中のため、州内全域でWiFi使用できず。
地下にレストランが併設されており、エチオピア料理、スパゲッティなどがあります。
オーナーとスタッフはとても親切で、要望にも応えてくれます。

I stayed at this hotel in Sep 2023.
It takes 30-60 mins from the airport of Lalibela. Since there is no public transport from the airport, you need to book a lift beforehand. It costs 200 ETB for a shiring, 1300 ETB for a private.
Location of the hotel is great, you can walk to central plaza of Lalibela and the rock-hewn churches within 10 mins.
Rooms are clean and cozy.
There is a restaurant at the basement which serves spaghetties, pennes and Ethiopian dishes.
Wi-Fi was not available due to the declaration of Emergency on Amhara region.
The owner and the staffs were all kind and helpful. They invited me to their house for branch to celebrate the New years Day together.

Birhanu the receptionist was amazing. He was quick and ready to help all the time. He is thorough professional, kind and gentle.

Good and easy tour experience. Good hospitality. Rockhewn Churches Tour is tie with hotel stay at Honeyland Hotel. Friendly staff. Hotel manager Birhanu and tour guide Mulugeta are excellent and fantastic.

The room was amazing with unique local furnitures, and the staff were all so warm and welcoming & the general manager went above and beyond, readily available to assist.
