The lobby is small
Everything but breakfast could be improved though..not much of variety
The air-conditioning was set at 20, n cant go below than that ...stayed in the suite and the room was bigger but due to the temp setting , it wasn't that cold.
Hotel was well-presented and immaculately clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The gym was great- small but had all the essentials and open 24h. The breakfast buffet had a good selection of tasty food.
The location is on a busy main road and not very scenic. The view was just loads of concrete towers- not exactly a tropical island paradise. But to be honest that’s more of a reflection of our dislike of Georgetown than the hotel itself.

Incredibly disappointing for a Marriott property. We payed for an additional person (total 3) in the room and then we had to beg for extra towels, extra key card, extra bottled water. What’s the point in charging for a third person if you then short change on everything? At every opportunity the reception was unhelpful. We stayed at the Moxy in KL and it was so much better.
The area is built up and at least 40 minutes walk from anywhere. The pool area was unstaffed, no cushions on any chairs, the pool “bar” was abandoned.

To whom it may concern,
I am writing in to register my grave disappointment with your Marriott Reservations Office.
I reserved 2 rooms under confirmation number 98851551 and 98854770 on 6 November.
As a Platinum member under the Marriott Bonvoy scheme, I was put through to the Elite call line
after first contacting the Courtyard by Marriott Penang reception that day.
I was told my booking of 2 rooms with a connecting door would be secured.
But on 28 November, just two days before I was due to arrive in Penang, I was informed there was
no guarantee the 2 connecting rooms would be mine. And that I would only know when I checked in on 1 December.
This is unacceptable.
If the hotel is fully booked, I should have been informed and not given false hope like this. What if
I ended up with nowhere to stay during my trip to Penang?
I strongly suggest that you relook your reservation policies and procedures.

Always my family & my preferred hotel to stay. Many thanks to the person that decorated the room and wrote a lovely Anniversary note on the mirror. Welldone housekeeping team.
- Ganeson is a top notch employee, he is friendly, efficient and very proactive. He provided detailed explanation of the places of interest and eateries.
- Kumar and Sidhu are efficient and friendly.
Overall you have a great Front Office team.
