Definitely not going to be a bolt hole
Pros:

Nothing springs to mind

Cons:

Poor state of repair, didn't feel clean and fresh. By 7.50am there was virtually no breakfast left, signs to say clean up after yourself. We didn't bother to stay, Cornish Cafe met our breakfast needs.
No available parking

Peaceful and convenient for our night out in Harlow
Pros:

Self service for check in and breakfast, loved the living room and kitchen , the fireplace in kitchen was beautiful even tho it wasn't a light it was very warming. Loved the sound of the church bells on a Sunday morning

Cons:

The mattress was a bit thin, my partner didn't sleep to well, i slept fine so didn't feel a reason to raise a concern as i liked the location of our room (( No 2 ))

Perfectly adequate for what I needed
Pros:

Warm, clean and value for money for somewhere to sleep

Cons:

Bed was a little basic, no hairdryer and no kettle etc in the room. Decent kitchen but I had to get dressed to get a cuppa as I had to go outside of my room

Hostel not a hotel
Pros:

The room was clean. The host was responsive but took some time to respond . The check in was smooth. Breakfast was OK.

Cons:

The room which was given to me had very noisy neighbours. I couldn't sleep at night till 2 at night . The walls and flooring are very thin. I complained and host changed the room. But the room which was given was very small but thankfully no noisy neighbours. This is not a hotel although mentioned as a hotel in the name. More like a hostel. Not good value for money.

My saviour in time of need.
Pros:

I was able to book very last minute when I got stranded due to transport issues. It was cheaper to book a stay than to try to get home using other forms of transport only to have to be back here the following morning. A lovely little find I can use again if the same issue occurs

A pleasant B&B in Old Harlow
Pros:

The room was bright, private and nicely presented. We found the owners kind and helpful and the accomadation very pleasant. We will certainly return.

Cons:

The shower dripped and was tricky to use but I worked it out.

Pros:

It looked like a Munsters set.

Cons:

No staff on site. Room at top of building and had to go through a 4ft high gap. Did this pass fire regs??

Basic stay
Pros:

The outside of the house is beautiful and the car park feels secure

Cons:

The state of the room was in disrepair and made me feel quite uncomfortable. It is definitely due a little attention to make it feel more clean and comfortable

We didn’t stay
Pros:

Honestly, the property completely failed to meet our expectations. The only positive our group could identify was the location; however, we would advise the proprietor that additional signage and improved lighting would be beneficial, as reduced visibility at night made the property difficult to locate.

Cons:

Accessing our room was a very unpleasant experience, from the excessive number of stairs required to reach our floor, to the countless doors that had to be opened to access different points along the journey, and the unpleasant smell that permeated the property throughout. Walking through the narrow corridors felt claustrophobic and the environment was deeply unsettling. At one point, one member of our group felt an immediate urge to leave the property due to how uncomfortable they felt within the hotel.

We only managed to reach one of our two rooms before feeling horrified and making the immediate decision that we could not comfortably stay at the hotel. Upon entering the single bedroom, we were met with extremely dated furniture in an exceptionally small room. The room looked nothing like the images shown in the photographs provided. It felt claustrophobic and more akin to a hostel room than a hotel. The towels placed on the bed were a charcoal grey colour, which further added to the unsettling atmosphere, as it felt as though the colour had been chosen to conceal dirt and stains rather than using the commonly accepted hygienic white. The carpet throughout the property felt dirty, cheap, worn, and uncomfortable.

Additionally, the fact that a stranger was able to access our room prior to our arrival was extremely concerning.

We were also not made aware at the time of booking that the bathrooms were shared. This came as a shocking and distressing surprise upon arrival. The bathroom was only used by one member of our group who urgently required the toilet, and they reported that the hot tap ran cold and that the bathroom environment felt unclean and unpleasant.

As a group, we collectively agree that the images presented in the advertisement were not a true reflection of the accommodation we were offered. We were beyond appalled by the hotel, to the extent that our disappointment resulted in us having to spend an additional £207.74 to book alternative acco

Terrible.
Pros:

Garden and location.

Cons:

The bedroom was falling apart, light on wall falling off, door loose in frame, cover on heater on the floor, wardrobe all broken, dodgy wiring, water only just warm day or night, very scruffy. Poor cleaner does her best but you can't make s**t shine. Bed and pillows terrible.
