We stayed at Masova Hotel in Nha Trang for two nights and had a very bad experience from the beginning.

On the first night, we discovered that the showers were poorly built and caused major leaks, leaving the bathroom severely wet every time we showered. The plumbing was even worse. While I was using the toilet, a loud flush from the room above caused water to shoot back up through the toilet. Toilet water and other waste splashed across the bathroom floor and walls. I immediately went downstairs to inform reception, but the staff working that night were dismissive and insisted this had never happened before. When I asked for someone to clean the bathroom, they were unsure when help would be available. Eventually security came up and simply sprayed the visible mess away without disinfecting. When we asked about proper cleaning, he said nothing could be done until morning. A cleaner from a nearby hotel was finally brought in to properly clean the space. Throughout this entire incident, no one apologized.

Checkout was also stressful. The staff accused us of taking a laundry bag from the room. When we explained we hadn’t touched it and asked housekeeping to double-check, they told us their staff didn’t have time and that we had to go back upstairs to look ourselves. We were already running late and the elevators were extremely slow. To avoid being charged, we returned to the room and found the bag exactly where it should have been. We brought it downstairs to show them, and the staff member even claimed it wasn’t their bag until we pointed out the hotel name printed on it. Again, no apology.

There was also confusion about payment. We booked through Booking.com and assumed the hotel would automatically charge the card on file. At check-in, no one asked for payment details. The day before checkout, while we were out sightseeing, we received frantic calls and messages from the hotel accusing us of not paying and making it seem like we were trying to avoid payment.

Cons:

Skip the breakfast. I would say something about it but it’s so forgettable I don’t remember what was there.
