Didn't get to experience much
So when I first arrived my reservation had been cancelled because it was a little after midnight and somehow there was miscommunication between the 3rd party booking agent and the property. Not the hotels fault though. Eventually they agree to give me the last room they have in the hotel for my original quotes price. I paid this in full in cash amount was $xx75.00. I counted out $xx80.00 the desk clerk took it all and dropped it in his drawer and handed me the keys so I figured he didn't have fives or anyway to make my change so I didn't sweat it. Ran up to the room and dropped my bag at this point about 1am. I needed to go purchase toiletries so went looking for a 24 hour CVS or Duane Reade. By the time I found one and did everything and came back to the room it was after 4am. This is the first time anyone went into the bathroom. It was disgusting, there's was fecal splash all over the toilet, there was toilet paper wads in the bath tub and sink. The faucet was shmeared with something. It was horrendous. Hadn't been cleaned at all apparently. So I went to the front desk immediately and asked them to come to the room with me and look and they tried to brush it off til the toilet seat came up and then he even looked like he was going to vomit. So he offers to have housekeeping come and clean it immediately, when they come in at 9am, mind you it's not quite 5am yet. And if I needed to use the bathróom until then I'd hafta use the lobby toilet. He said he had no other options since the property was at capacity. At this point I demanded a refund, so after some back n forth he finally reluctantly agrees so we get our bags together and head down to the front desk to meet him and he tries to charge me for the first night. So I protest and he says to me "well did you get in the bed?" Excuse me??? What difference does it make? So then he checks the total amount on my original paperwork, the $xx75.

I was able to switch to heat when cold and switch to ac when hot. Hotel was clean and met my needs.

The room was fairly straightforward and clean.
Even though it is close to the air train the short walk is very undesirable.
The hotel's location
I have requested the hotel bill on several occasions, but they have not sent it to me. I need it to file a claim with an airline; the stay was due to a flight cancellation.
Everything was great and it is very accessible to the airport
Convenient location and easy access to JFK!
1 elevator was out of service. Also didn’t like that the person checking in was the same person next to me. I’ve never experienced this when traveling.

The stuff was rude
The staff was very accommodating and polite, the room was a good value and the hotel was close to the airport and subway.
The neighborhood can get a bit loud.
