Interpass VAU Hotel & Apartaments

Tolles Hotel, etwas abseits vom Trubel, was uns aber letzten Endes total gefallen hat. Sehr nettes Personal, sehr leckeres Essen, und alles sauber. Die Zimmer sind etwas altmodisch, aber sehr geräumig und groß.
Der Pool ist ziemlich klein, aber zum Abkühlen und kurze Bahndn schwimmen ok. Es war auch nie wirklich überfüllt, man hat immer eine Liege bekommen. Tolle Poolbar mit leckeren relativ günstigen Snacks. Es war ein toller Erholungaurlaub! Zum schönen Strand läuft man ca. 10 Minuten, leider ist das Meer sehr kalt. Abends gibt es wunderbare Sonnenuntergänge! :-)

Die Zimmer sind sauber und sehr groß, der Balkon mit Meerblick ein Traum.
Wir hatten zwar nur Frühstück gebucht, da gabs nix zu meckern. Von Rührei bis Lachs war alles dabei. Alle 2 Tage konnte man sich bei der Rezeption neue Badehandtücher holen. Man sprach englisch, sollte kein Problem sein. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten waren zu Fuß erreichbar, Lidl und Aldi nur 5Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt. Tipp: Mietwagen buchen!

No suelo dejar comentarios en la gran cantidad de sitios que viajo al año, pero en esto debo decir que decidimos marcharnos un día antes de las dos que ibamos a pasar porque no es para nada lo que esperaba. El hotel tiene mucho potencial, pero dista mucho de ser un 4 estrellas real. La piscina OK, buffet desayuno OK, pero la habitación familiar y mantenimiento, están un poco decayentes, algo importante es el Aire acondicionado es muy antiguo y no funciona bien (en verano es básico). El precio en verano es absolutamente desproporcionado (>250€/noche), por este precio deberían tener unas instalaciones realmente adecuadas, renovadas y con más amenities, con detalles de bienvenida, etc..
espero realmente que inviertan en mejorar completamente las habitaciones porque es una pena. No pagaría más de 100€/noche por algo así en cualquier época del año. las camas y sofa-cama igual, sonaba ruidos por todos lados, no era cómodo.

Had a great stay at Interpass Vau. Staff are really amazing and helpful. We arrived very early so couldn’t check in straight away but they arranged a room to be cleared while we went for lunch and the room was provided two hours ahead of check-in time.
It’s a fairly small hotel but we really liked that it wasn’t overcrowded and away from the beaten track.

Food: Breakfast and dinner were really good and cannot fault it. Pool side food also available to purchase from bar.

Pool: The outside pool is quite deep (minimum of ca1.3m and up to about 2.5m if memory serves me right) so kids need to be confident swimmers or wear swim aid if they aren’t tall enough). There is a toddler pool as well. Only minor thing that could be improved is the music by the pool. A very short playlist was played on repeat all week which was very monotonous. There is also an indoor pool which we never used but requires you to wear a swimming cap/hat. Pool towels are provided and can be changed every two days. Plenty of sun loungers so no need to put your towel on them to ”reserve” for later.

Rooms: Hotel rooms are clean although cleaners might want to occasionally check all drawers and see if they need a hoovering. Rooms come fully kitted with crockery, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, hob, kettle etc. Lots of storage for clothes. WiFi worked well. Furniture are loud when moved around. Would suggest adding soft cushion under chairs so the glide better and make less sound.

Other: There is a lovely beach 10min walk from the hotel (Praia do Vau). We were recommended by a friend to visit Alvor (5 min taxi ride) which is a small little town - a lot calmer than Portimao. There is a minigolf place there that is a bit of fun (Eden Alvor) and Alvor also has a nice boardwalk.
Upon check-in to the hotel, we were given some leaflets on attractions in the area. One was on excursions out to sea which we booked to see dolphins and caves (highly recommended). The hotel helped us book it and we were picked up and dropped off by the excursion company.
Cash machine and mini-mart available a few minutes away. As mentioned before, it’s a small hotel off the beaten track so if you’re looking for more bustling nightlife and restaurants directly outside, this might not be the place for you.

When we mentioned to the reception staff day before leaving that we had an early check out the next day (5.30am) they kindly offered to sort us out with a packed breakfast that we picked up at reception in the evening before departure - they were extremely generous.

Hadde et fint opphold. Det som var minus med oppholdet var air conditioner. Den funket veldig dårlig. Så på de varmeste dagene var det vanskelig å sove.

Lo que mas me gustó fue la zona, muy cerca de la playa, con opciones de restaurantes cerca. El hotel esta bien, pero uno de los dos baños que teniamos tenia muy mal olor, eso no deberia suceder..... el hotel es bueno pero no deberia dejar pasar este detalle tan importante. El desayuno incluido, podria mejorar, es bueno pero falta opcion de frutas, huevos al gusto y jugo natural. Es un buen hotel de 4 estrellas.

Me and my girlfriend traveled for the Afro nation festival sow we needed a place “close”to the praia da Rocha beach I must say the the staff were friendly and polite also any problems we had that we voiced were taken care of for the most part I still recommend that the place modernize itself because you can see that it’s decor is from the late 90’s

Enjoyed my stay

Extremely over priced for a very poor quality hotel. I would love to know where it gets its 4 star rating from. As for the jacuzzi and indoor pool! Wear a pool cap you would need a body suit for the jacuzzi which had a layer of scum around the whole bath and the water itself was extremely cloudy. Me and my partner will certainly not be back. Seven hundred plus euros for 4 nights bed only? Breakfast advertised on hotels.com at 4€ when the real charge was 12.50€

Room was ok. Cleaners did a good job keeping the place clean. Staff aren't friendly and the breakfast selection wasn't great. This place is not worth the money compared to other places we have stayed in Algarve, Portugal. There's nothing but a pool in the hotel, so nothing to do other than that. The location isn't great either as there's not much to do in that area and not a lot of choice for restaurants either. It is ok for someone who wants just a room near a beach. You will have to travel otherwise for anything else.

Très bon hôtel et très bien situé.
Tout était conforme à ce qu’on voulait et notre séjour était agréable.
Le seul petit bémol est la piscine qui ferme tôt (20h)
Sinon on a vraiment apprécié .

Location of this hotel was good, easy walking access to famous beach; and only few minutes driving to restaurants and shopping centre.

Great apartment, a lot of space, good location, good price.

Belle vue sur la mer au 8e étage sur les deux immenses balcons. Hôtel pas très loin d’une belle petite plage. Très bons choix dans le buffet déjeuner.

Very friendly and helpful staff! Room with great views, large balcony. Excellent breakfast.

The staff at the front desk and in the bar/restaurant really are amazing people. They are very focused on Customer Service. The breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed the evening buffets.

Amazing place close to the beach, great food, friendly staff, will visit again

We are a family of 5 and it was large enough for the family. It was clean and beautiful. Highly recommend the hotel.
