Camellia Hills

Camellia Hills is the most beautiful, tranquil and stunning property. The views will stay with us for a very long time. Nestled in amongst the tea plantations . But more than the views it was the staff who made our stay SO Special! Particular mention to Savindu and Dinuka who made our stay so special. The personal service, remembering how we liked our coffee /drinks etc. They were warm and friendly, but discreet at the same time. Always greeted us with a warm smile. No request was too small. I am realising that travelling around this beautiful country that it is less about the hotel buildings (which are spectacular) , but the warmth and friendliness of the staff is what makes our stay memorable. Upal also greeted us with warmth. Special details are a free trip to tea factory and free laundry service , which was much appreciated.

The property itself is well maintained, boutique and the service beyond excellent! Unfortunately we went there during the cyclone, so weren’t able to enjoy the facilities or the town at all. It was raining heavily, and the staff took their utmost care of entertaining us and making sure we were comfortable. They constantly checked and updated us, and placed our safety first. The food, service and tea were exceptional. Highly recommend

Fantastic stay at this beautiful property in the middle of the tea plantations. Fantastic food and drink included as part of the all inclusive package - one of the chef's also did a cookery class with us which was fantastic. Very peaceful surroundings with plenty of places to sit and admire the view.

The property is beautifully furnished, with only 5 rooms it often feels like you have the place to yourself. Our room looked out onto the lake which was breathtaking to wake up to. The pool also overlooks the lake surrounded by nature. All the staff were so friendly and no request too small. The meals were delicious and high quality we had a complimentary private cooking class with the chef for dinner one night. Cannot recommend this place enough. It is very off the beaten path, but worth it nestled in the middle of the tea plantations. Wish we had stayed longer.

Wonderful staff, beautiful location, very restful, great food

This was a fantastic place to unwind. A vast array of activities in the surrounding nature or a SriLankan cooking lesson which we found was amazingly interesting and tasty!!!

The roads in are interesting and we were glad of the SUV we had hired. Over 4 hour drive from Colombo which was indeed stunning.

Camelia Hills was the highlight of our trip to Sri Lanka. The beautiful location, very friendly and helpful staff, delicious food and the whole experience could not have been better.

Everything! I am a fussy person and stay in the best places .. this is up there with them all.. I’ve never felt so special … the staff were fantastic! The food amazing and the views OMG ..
You can judge a place by how you feel when you leave .. I didn’t want to leave ..
