It was unsafe not hygienic mould in the air conditioner carpet smelt of urine the lounge had rips and stains the calling mouldy and peeling paint even the remote had foil in it to help earth to the battery’s, tv was smashed had to get staff to replace controls and fix the aircon,The staff where excellent was the only positive thing about the stay

Not good value for money at all and the room was very underwhelming and very small and the window had a hole in it . There was no kettle and no milk only 2 coffee cups and coffee and tea and sugar packets

I stayed at Sydney Junction Hotel on 10–11 January 2026 (2 rooms booked via Booking.com).
The stay itself was barely acceptable, although one of the rooms (Room 8) had a strong unpleasant smell and we had to request a change.
However, the main issue occurred after check-out. Despite the accommodation being fully prepaid through Booking.com, the hotel charged an additional AUD 77.41 to my credit card without any authorisation.
The charge was processed before my check-out, and there was no interaction with staff at the time. No explanation or invoice has ever been provided.
I raised the issue with hotel staff and followed up multiple times. Staff acknowledged the charge and said it would be handled by management, but nearly 3 months(83days) has passed with no response, no explanation, and no refund,nothing.
This kind of unauthorised charge and lack of accountability is very concerning. I would strongly advise future guests to carefully monitor their credit card transactions after staying here.
The location was very convienent but being so close to the train with the boom gate shutting all the time was very noisy. They train beeps every time it takes off to move. A
We rang before booking because they have Karaoke on a Friday night. We were assured you couldn't hear from the rooms. They must have put us over the main area because we heard everything - including the bad singing - until 2am and we had to be at the airport at 6:30am. A group of people came back at 1am and doors started banging closed for over a hour because everyone had to use the shared bathroom.
The staff were the best excellent people in the world exceptional I think that your security guard needs a little bit of weight though doesn't really convince me
