Location is great, close to the train stailn

Cons:

The lobby is shared by hotel guests and customers of the adjoining coffee shop, who often take up so much space that hotel guests have little room. Hotel guests need a dedicated seating area, especially during check-in.
Also, Kosa, the steak restaurant, needs to improve its customer service. The food took a long time to arrive, and the server didn't explain the menu or the wine and drink list. They should at least have offered us complimentary bread while we waited. The meat was tender, as expected, but the side dish was tiny—and they charged us for it!!!?? We've been to high-end restaurants, but this was the smallest portion we've ever had. The server looked tired and rushed…r nuts while we waited.

Ace in Kyoto has great vibe & location, yet could be disappointing for families
Pros:

The Ace Hotel is well-located with impressive architecture for a Kyoto city hotel. The lobby is lively and full of energy, with great adjacent shops integrated into the complex, and its location right near Karasuma Oike Station is ideal. The staff is dynamic and communicates exceptionally well.

Cons:

Narrow beds made sharing with tweens a struggle, and we were disappointed to be asked for an extra charge for a folding bed despite staying within our registered guest count. Seeing the setup upon arrival, we immediately decided to shorten our stay and move to another hotel. Even then, management only permitted us to cancel the third night, refusing a cancellation for the second. By Japanese hospitality standards, the stay fell somewhat short of expectations.

Delightful stay ay the Ace in Kyoto.
Pros:

Killer location, just above a train station so traveling is a snap. The breakfasts were phenomenal. Incredible menu choices to choose from. This hotel is hip to the core, restaurants and staff A+. And I must add the ion hairdryer is sensational.

Cons:

My only complaint is the room is small. Considering all the advantages Ace offers I could easily live with the room because everything else is super.

מלון מושלם במיקום מושלם
Pros:

מלון מעולה ומיוחד. יש בחדר גיטארה שלא הפסקנו לנגן בה (חחחחחח). יש גם פטיפון עם תקליטים משובחים. החדר נוח, המיטה נוחה, חדר הרחצה יעיל, מודרני ונוח מאוד. ארוחת הבוקר מתחת לפרגולה יפיפיה בחצר מעוצבת בקפידה. כל המלון זועק חדשנות ויופי מטופח. יהלום ממש נחמד. קרוב לכל, מרחק החיכה של דקות ספורות. כמעט שלא השתמשנו במוניות או רכבת. ליד המלון (תשאלו בקבלה) יש ספא עם מסאג'ים יוצאים מהכלל, שווה לנסות. בכלל, קיוטו עושה טוב לנשמה. וכך גם המלון הזה.

Wonderful - stay here! It will be a highlight of your trip!
Pros:

Loved the whole place, very cool, great staff and vibe to the whole place. One of our favourite stays in Japan.

Cons:

The bar was disappointing in that it was full and I wasn't allowed to sit in the other area, they found me a seat close to the bar, but I just wanted to sit back and relax on my own comfortably and this couldn't happen.

Pros:

We loved everything about the Ace Hotel. Our favourite of our trip to Japan. It had a fantastic modern and almost industrial vibe with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Great coffee in reception. Incredible building. Loved the location and breakfasts. Super shops just outside and direct access to subway train. Staff were all excellent. Would return and can fully recommend.
