Erg leuke ervaring
Pros:

Leuk hotel, met een geschiedenis die je ook echt terug ziet. Ligt op een prachtige, rustige plek in Alkmaar. Prima om van daaruit mooie fietsroutes te maken. Kleine 2km van het centrum. Alkmaar is een prachtige stad.

Cons:

Behang in de kamer zat her en der wat los. Douche deur is alleen naar binnen te openen als de schuifdeur naar badkamer gedeelte dicht zit waardoor je moeilijk uit de doucheruimte kan stappen. Verder prima kamer.

De kamer viel tegen en dan met name het bed.
Pros:

Personeel heel vriendelijk. Het ontbijt was uitgebreid & goed. Ook het restaurant was goed.

Cons:

Er zat een kuil in de matras waardoor ik naar het midden van het bed rolde. De douche ging van warm naar koud naar heel heet ... De gordijnen rolden niet goed op (scheef). En de overal afwerking van de kamers was minimaal. De kamers zijn heel gehorig, dus oordoppen mee.

Bijzondere ervaring in oude gevangenis: TOP
Pros:

De sfeer in de ontvangsthal, bij de receptie zag het er erg mooi uit. De ruimte waar de kamers lagen nog mooier. Erg imposant. Wij logeerden in het gedeelte waar de oude gevangenis was. Echt een beleving.

Cons:

Kamers hadden wat groter gemogen. Geen handige indeling. Weinig ruimte om uit bed te stappen bij het raam (standaard kamer). Verstopping in de wastafel. Ik miste in de badkamer een plank waar je spulletjes op kan zetten, moest nu in de vensterbank. Badkamer daarentegen erg ruim.

De locatie is goed, Alkmaar is een leuke stad.

Cons:

Alles is het net niet. De suite is ruim, redelijk schoon maar oudbollig, gordijnen sluiten niet goed. Miste echt een grote spiegel op de kamer.
