Ok, but simple improvements can be made.
Pros:

Nice location, functional and what we expected.

Cons:

The mattress was so soft and worn, big dip in the middle and only a standard double so we both ended up in the same space. Both slept poorly.

Comfortable with exceptional staff.
Pros:

Very impressed with the staff in particular. A decent choice of beers and a very good Sunday Lunch.

Cons:

Although the rooms were clean and comfortable they could probably do with being refreshed, although this had little bearing on our stay.

Clean rooms, comfortable bed. Beds were made for us daily. Great location, great price for what you got. Coffee station in the room, hangers for our clothes, TV (however we never turned it on) was great for what we were there for.

Cons:

Wafer thin walls, heard a little bit too much should we say! 😬
Other than that, brilliant stay and will come back.

Worthy for the money stay at the centre of Birmingham
Pros:

The hotel is conveniently located near the Bournville train station and offers good value for money. While the breakfast is standard and similar to what you’d find in a nearby café, the friendly staff and easy parking make it worth a visit.

Cons:

The room was typical, with a slightly too soft mattress and poor soundproofing, which is common in local hotels.

A basic stay for a good price
Pros:

The accommodation was absolutely fine, as you would expect for the price point. It was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. Overall. Basic, but fine.

Cons:

The checkin was not great. Every guest had the same issue, there were no staff at the desk. This could easily have been rectified by just having a sign to say come round to the bar (as we all did anyway eventually after getting a bit frustrated that no one answered the phone).
We had an unfortunate incident with a very drunk and horrible pub goer. He would not leave us alone and was trying to start fights all over the pub. Initially the bar staff did a brilliant job of dealing with him and getting him away from us, but then gave him more booze which was baffling!

Bournbrook Lovely
Pros:

The staff were amazing.
Restaurant was lovely. A little disappointed on menu choice, but prices reasonable.
Breakfast fabulous.
Shower lovely and hot.
Location brilliant.
Lots of rear parking, just remember to pop your vehicle registration in at reception.

Cons:

Room clean, but needs modernising.
Mattress and pillows need replacing.
TV with Netflix etc. would have been great rather than Freeview TV.

Overall it was a good experience for the one night, would definitely go again.
Pros:

I liked that they had a bar of their own so I didn’t have to go walk in the rain to the closest one. I also really liked the staff as they were friendly and welcoming.

Cons:

My room was next to the back entrance where the car park was, by the double doors where the hotel reception was.
