If you want the best hotel experience in Hanoi look no further than the Peridot. It is centrally located in the heart of the old town yet tucked away from the main road so it is quiet and peaceful. This charming yet eloquently appointed hotel gives a true boutique hotel experience. The rooftop pool had an incredible panoramic view of the city that allows you to gaze at it while you rest on the edge of the infinity pool. However, the best part of the Peridot was the personal and exceptional service. As a former concierge of a five star hotel, their service far exceeded my expectations. It’s the kind of place where they got to not only know your name but your needs before you knew them yourself. From the time I made the reservation, all communication was timely and respectfully. While some hotels try to sell you on their services, Ms. Vu with whom I worked with not only made me feel comfortable but more importantly made me feel like she had our best interest in mind. She was always one-step ahead anticipating our every need. When our Ha Long Bay cruise I booked with her got cancelled due to weather, she called me and worked with the cruise company and the hotel to rebook us in a way that worked with our calendar. She intuitively discerned our preferences and orchestrated outstanding tours that would work with our calendar. She and her colleagues always went above and beyond our highest expectations. As someone who has traveled to over 45 countries, she and her team has provided the best service I have experienced in my 35 years of travel. My friend and I left noting how we would all benefit from having a Ms. Vu in our lives!
Beautiful hotel, excellent bed and room. We loved the pool at the end of each day and a drink in the rooftop bar . The service was excellent. Really good breakfast .
I am not sure when I stayed in such a comfortable, peaceful and friendly hotel.
Of course it exists elsewhere but not at this price level.
The welcome is second to none.
The kindness of all the staff I met, from reception, doorman ( who remembered my name) to the incredibly kind and happy waitresses in both the fine dining restaurant to the more Vietnamese style brasserie where my waitress Rosie was exceptional and made me the all time best coffee you are ever going to taste!
Her suggestions and explanations in perfect English was extremely welcome.
My room was extremely comfortable and very well appointed.
The Spa and stall are fantastic too.
The rooftop pool and bar have spectacular views but unfortunately for me we’re far too warm in Hanoi’s summer heat to enjoy.
They just can’t do enough for you!
I really hope I am back one day.
I like this this hotel,,,,, service super nicee the guest relations officer she name Jess ,,,, she gave a gift to me very cuteee
The location of this hotel is perfect- middle of the old town of hanoi.
A true 4star hotel, doesn’t deserve 5 stars.
Entrance looks quite small, you walk
through a beautiful alley and then arrive in the lobby. Nice but somehow things don’t fit together. Service is ok, just average. Small rooms, quite nice interior though and comfortable beds. Not a lot of drinking water bottles in the room. Everything is a bit dated as you can see in the bathroom furniture. Shower is a story of itself- it even has an explanatory sticker on the shower glass but still I didn’t get the overhead shower to work. Needs an upgrade.
Be aware that when you are on the second floor, you will have a window that is half blocked by a wall (with plants) and you feel a bit imprisoned.
Roof top bar has a nice view, pool is quite small with only a handful of sun loungers. Photos don’t represent how it looks in real.
Hear me out, this is the very best experience I have had in a long time and I do travel a lot. The breakfast menu for all the days we spent at the hotel was excellent. The hospitality team are really great and talented young people who all have one goal- to please their customers. The live entertainment on the roof top on Thurs and Friday was so good. Special thank you to Chloe, Annie and Julie.
Absolutely loved staying in the Peridot Grand Luxury hotel. From the minute we walked into reception it felt very special. Can't fault it, very clean, amazing rooms & huge breakfast selection. Would highly recommend
L'accueil, le personnel et la propriété des chambres et nourriture. Emplacement au top 👍🏻
Great location easy walk to old town, shopping streets and great restaurants. Walking into the hotel feels like you have stepped into an oasis of calm after the craziness of Hanoi. Staff were amazing- friendly, polite and welcoming- couldn't do enough for us. Rooms were lovely with comfortable beds. Pool and rooftop bar amazing and breakfast was sensational. So much choice of delicious food.
Nothing
Really enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, the hotel had a great atmosphere, and everything went smoothly. Big shoutout to Jess, who was so friendly and helpful from the start. She made us feel really welcome and her great service stood out. Would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hanoi.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The property was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, making my visit very enjoyable.
A special thank you to Jess, the Guest Relations Officer, for her exceptional hospitality. She was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive throughout my stay. Jess went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of and made sure I had a smooth and comfortable experience from start to finish. Her genuine care and outstanding service truly made my stay memorable.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I look forward to staying here again in the future.
The hotel is perfectly located on the edge of the French Quarter, offering excellent connections to all parts of the city. As a solo traveler, I mainly used Grab, which worked flawlessly.
The hotel itself impressed me from the very entrance: the atmosphere and interior design are refined and elegant down to the smallest detail. I stayed in a Premier Deluxe room on the lower floors, which was perfectly fine since I spent most of my days exploring the city. For views, I could enjoy the stunning rooftop restaurant on the 12th floor, where the scenery was breathtaking and the service outstanding – Linh in particular stood out with her warmth and professionalism.
Breakfast was one of the highlights of my stay. After three weeks elsewhere in Vietnam, it was refreshing to have a truly international and varied selection. The quality was excellent, and I recommend asking for a table near the waterfall for the best atmosphere.
The hotel met all my expectations, but the customer service exceeded them. The staff’s English level was excellent, which made communication easy. Above all, I want to highlight Jess at the front desk: she reached out to me even before my arrival to ensure everything would go smoothly. Jess helped with transferring my luggage from another hotel, provided spa and restaurant recommendations, suggested cafés, and even assisted with flight arrangements. Her service mindset was exceptionally strong and proactive — she anticipated my needs before I even asked. Thanks to Jess, I was able to experience much more of Hanoi in a short time than I would have managed on my own.
Overall, an unforgettable stay that I can wholeheartedly recommend!
Fabulous location
More seats needed around the pool
Our stay at Peridot Grand Luxury Hotel was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and professional, making us feel truly welcomed. The rooms were beautifully designed, spotless, and very comfortable, and the facilities were excellent. The breakfast was delicious with a fantastic variety, and the location was perfect for exploring Hanoi. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city.
The service is the best. So is the location. Everything you want is right here. The staff literally go out of your way to help with everything and anything. They even work after hours. Note: please tip them well!
The views from lower floors is… not ideal. But it’s the old quarter, C’est la vie! Didn’t impact the experience.
