Very good location, beautiful room, staff was friendly
A pity the decorations on the ceiling were not repaired.
Great location with lovely friendly staff and excellent breakfast.
Nothing
The rooms were comfortable except for the beams in one of them.
There was no hotel restaurant or room service.
Location was exceptional
Desk was prompt
Rooms were good.
Beds could be better
No great views from room
Nichts
Gorgeous hotel, set in an old building yet fully renovated with every possible modern comfort. The sublime ceiling painting above our room, added a touch of character to our stay in beautiful Heidelberg!
Breakfast was outstanding! Staff was carefully attentive to our needs.
The property is perfect for your stay in Heidelberg, within very short walking distance of everything. Parking is extremely easy, in the hotel’s own parking garage below.
Would most definitely stay here again without hesitation!
Can’t imagine anything we didn’t like!
Good location, nice clean hotel with spacious room/s.
The initial interaction at check-in was not good; not a smile/hello/good afternoon. I checked-in while my husband stayed in the car in front of the hotel, we are not familiar with the area and did not see designated parking for check-in. Needless to say, it was not a welcoming initial encounter. Once parking was sorted, my husband and I went to the reception area to continue with the check-in process, only then did the staff's demeanor/interaction improved.
The other staff we've met/encountered during our stay were nice/friendly/helpful.
The A/C does not work well, turns off around midnight, need to reset it after waking up from being too warm.
I booked through Booking.com on December 4 for a late-December stay. The hotel emailed me directly saying the credit card I used to hold the hotel was not going through/was invalid, so I sent it to them the same day. Later that same day, I canceled the reservation through Booking.com (See below).
The day after the original stay date, the hotel texted asking why we didn’t show up. I responded that the reservation had been canceled and sent the Booking.com cancellation confirmation. (See text conversation attached). Despite this, the hotel charged my credit card.
I emailed the hotel requesting a refund (see below) and received no response. I now have to pursue this with both my credit card company and Booking.com. I expect the $450 will be refunded, but the fact that I have to go through this - and that the hotel charged my card despite knowing the reservation was canceled - is frankly shocking. I’ve never experienced anything like this before.
