One of my favourite places I have ever stayed.
Pros:

I would return to Hobart just to stay at the Alabama Hotel. Jimmy was very welcoming and very helpful with great local information and advice.

Super-friendly and very helpful staff.

Cons:

Room with only a tiny window above head height, so there was almost no natural light; old mattress; the lounge area being closed off by 8:30 pm

It’s worth a visit for the building design and decor alone.
Pros:

Cons:

Could hear the person in the next room snoring. Only having one male toilet per floor is a problem.

Excellent location and clean environment
Pros:

The location. Right in the middle of Hobart. Main attractions are only walkable distances away.

Cons:

No lift. You have to walk up 2 levels of stairs.
