Location
Very small; no table, my sink wasvery slow draining so could barely use it
The staff were amazing at both the budget ibis and the holiday inn. Jo in particular at the Ibis is a credit to your organisation and genuinely a lovely person. Also Franklin at the holiday inn was really helpful and apologetic on your behalf in regards to you the below. The rooms were fine, a little cold on arrival, but still fine.
The breakfast options were awful. I understand having a small continental breakfast based on the fact this is budget hotel. However the fact the only options meat option to go with the bread, was bacon and ham, no mushrooms, eggs, cooked tomatoes, beans..... something for none pork eaters. This was very disappointing, actually infuriating. I then had to go next door to the Holiday inn and pay £10 (x3) each for breakfast that I felt I had already paid for.
Location
Poor breakfast, no coffee and the waitress very rude manners.
The staff are friendly.
The windowless room is a little depressing and the lack of natural light somewhat disorienting.
Basic , minimalist but clean, tidy and comfortable
I asked to stay 30mins after booking out time, and was grateful of the extra time.
The brick block window …was an odd feature.
The breakfast was held next door in the sister Holiday Inn - which was a bit odd. There was a Fire Drill as l was just in the lift going down to book out. Which got my adrenaline going!! 😬
Causal and practical
No clear sign of front entrance
Paid extra to have a window and overall was more expensive than averagely because of bank holiday weekend, but the hotel is pristine! The location is great, parked by the train station and it's literally 1 minute walk, though have to pay for it.
Didn't try WiFi, the room very clean and modern, really good for a short break!
And the continental breakfast, unfortunately no coffee machine but can either order at the bar or make an instant one, lovely cosy and clean area, decent amount of choice seen worse for a higher price.
The area is a bit dodgy but the closeness to the city centre and the train station is great! Also the hotel feels safe.
The car park is paid, not many TV channels, was a bit noisy outside (Saturday night), but with closed window didn't affect my sleep.
Staff helpfull
Room small felt like prison
Nothing really
Breakfast was continental staff didn’t bother to greet us on arrival. I guess a cheap hotel you get cheap customer service.
Rooms comfortable and clean, staff extremely friendly and helpful.
No Kettler and no table
