Location, clean, well maintained
For what we paid per night, you’d think you could get a bottle of water. I also didn’t like that you couldn’t bring anything up to the pool with regard to food or drink. Prices were very high at the bar. More than bars downtown. The concierge at our building had no English at all. I had to twlk to staff at the building across the street.

My wife and I just got back from Puerto Vallarta with our two adult children. This was our first trip there and based upon reviews and videos we picked the Chic Pinnacle 179 - and it was a great choice. The location, service, views could not have been better. We chose one of the 3-bedroom suites on the top floor and it fit our needs perfectly. If considering this suite, keep in mind one of the bedrooms is "interior" (i.e. no exterior windows) which my wife and I actually enjoyed as it was peaceful and dark for a good nights rest. It would be hard to go wrong choosing this hotel and I highly recommend.
The funicular railway was excellent and very helpful if you struggle with the 102 steps (though note it closes after 10pm). The upstairs pool bar was a real highlight — the staff were extremely attentive and friendly, especially Valentine and Speedy, who absolutely deserve tips. When housekeeping did attend, the service was excellent, with thorough cleaning and evening top-ups of towels and water, which is exactly what I’d expect at this price point.
For a property positioned as luxury, the apartment felt dated and lacking basic modern touches such as USB-C charging points, a good hair dryer, and a full-length mirror. Service and logistics were inconsistent: concierge support was limited, housekeeping follow-up failed on one occasion, lifts were slow due to shared staff usage, and bringing friends to the room felt unnecessarily restrictive despite the space clearly being set up for entertaining
Everything was perfect. Amazing staff, they really go above and beyond. Very clean, quiet, and perfect location.
If your room is in proximity of the gym, you will hear people dropping weights, or running on the treadmill. I found it bothersome, especially at 8 AM in the morning; the gym shouldn’t open so early.
We stayed for 5 nights and every night was relaxing and enjoyable! The staff was so helpful and friendly! Especially the staff at the rooftop bar! That was probably my favorite part of the stay, enjoying the gorgeous view with the service of the staff. The are felt very safe and close to the beach!

For the past four years, Pinnacle 179 has been our favorite spot in PV. The rooftop pool and bar are absolutely amazing, and the views are simply breathtaking! While the entire staff is great, having Speedy and Deanna on the pool deck really elevates the experience from a solid 7 to an impressive 10+++! Their friendly demeanor and commitment to keeping your drinks topped off make all the difference.
Great location, friendly staff, very clean & the pool staff were amazing! They all worked as a team & made everyone so comfortable. I can’t wait to go back & I will stay here again without a doubt. A++++
Nothing at all
Been visiting for many years and always have great experience. The views, quality, comfort and service is the best in PV. The staff on the roof top pool and bar, Valentin, Edgar and Speedy are amazing. They take great care of us, are friendly and attentive. We look forward to our visit again next year.

Great property and my favorite place for sundowners.
Property is reasonable well priced. Rooms arw modern and well kept. The rooftop is a deal during happy hour. The all star team.that helped me this trip was Edgar (roof) Jovita (housekeeping) and of course Jonathan and Cecilo on the funicular.
Great location, very clean, well appointed rooms and a welcoming, friendly staff.
We really enjoyed our stay and will be coming back.
