Die Anreise mit dem eigenen Auto ist angsteinflössend, da das Gassensystem sehr eng ist. wenn angekommen, ist die Freude groß.

Hire a driver to get to hotel
Pros:

Beautiful property & great walking distance in the historical part of the city. Excellent breakfast! The restoration of the property is very well done.

Cons:

Driving to location is very difficult due to satellite connection. An 8 min drive from another location in the city turned into 1 hour due to closed streets, traffic, etc. Partner stayed in car & I got out & walked to hotel thru multiple reroutes on Apple Maps. Google Maps didn’t work at all.
Upon getting to the hotel, I asked for help.
If one of the valets could help with getting the car to their hotel (which we pre paid for this service) & Francesca said “no, we don’t do that”
She spoke excellent English & I explained, we had to back up more than 1/2 a mi. on narrow shut down street & needed assistance. She replied again “no, not our responsibility, you must get it here yourself & said they had no staff for this”.
There was a Valet Man standing right there so, I asked if he could help. She said no again & that he was busy. He was standing there for 10 mins while all of this went on. Then, he started “loud talking w/ red face of anger & complaining in Italian. “
I told them if I couldn’t get help, I need to cancel the reservation since I couldn’t get there & couldn’t get help. He did wind up walking with me for 2 blocks to the car & help after 30 minutes of almost a yelling tone in the voices of her & valet.
I was respectful to them (they have hard jobs) in other words, I was not the “rude American”
BUT, the rest of the stay & staff was fabulous & had a good experience!

It was a privilege to stay at the Pollicastro Hotel. Beautiful.
Pros:

Pollicastro is a unique and beautiful boutique hotel. From the moment you walk in you are immersed in the artistry and design of this space. Every detail was created with love. The art could be in a museum but is instead here for us to enjoy. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Everything was immaculately clean. Staff were helpful and courteous. The breakfast offerings were very good and staff attentive and helpful. Location was perfect for exploring Lecce.

Pros:

Très bon hôtel plein de charme. Tout était parfait du début à la fin : l’accueil chaleureux, la propreté irréprochable, ainsi que le confort des chambres. L’ambiance est agréable et reposante, idéale pour un séjour réussi. Le personnel est attentionné et toujours disponible. Je recommande vivement cet établissement et j’y reviendrai avec plaisir.

Beautiful and unique hotel, spotless, great location and staff second to none.
Pros:

Excellent customer service in general, beautiful hotel, fab location. Breakfast and the service at breakfast were just superb!

Cons:

Our room was in an area that was accessible only though the outside, so navigating the rainy steep steps (although not many) felt a little precarious. Parking charges.

Tutto quello che si può desiderare per un hotel di charme lo trovi qui. Struttura meravigliosa dove il raffinato gusto classico- contemporaneo delle opere artistiche del proprietario si inseriscono perfettamente nell'antico sapientemente rivisitato. La terrazza panoramica è un luogo speciale: profusione di piante mediterranee succulente e colori pastello, un'oasi di pace e relax. Altissima professionalità di tutto il personale, abbinata a squisita gentilezza e disponibilità. Le prelibatezze della colazione ti preparano ad intraprendere le escursioni della giornata tra le bellezze della terra salentina.
