Will not stay at a Tru property again.
Pros:

Friendly staff, excellent food/beverage offerings.

Cons:

Room was dangerously damp. Slippery floors.
A/c unit was hit or miss on temperature.
Bedside lamp not functional.
No soap in shower.

Did not stay. Left immediately and requested refund.

The location was the only positive.

Cons:

I've already submitted a request to refund. The property was drastically different than posted photos. We arrived, went through check-in, and received a room that resembled a converted closet. Fixtures were broken, and the room smelled like curdled milk. Furthermore, the guests next door were loud and made my partner uncomfortable.

The location was convenient and the staff was friendly. I appreciate the free parking as some hotels are now charging for this.

Cons:

The fire alarm went off at 6am (I know this isn't something that was deliberate). The pancake machine and yogurt machine weren't working and it wasn't a full breakfast as advertised. Our toilet wasn't clean in our room and the shampoo and conditioner were empty. The curtain was also broken and hard to use. We had to register to use the Wi-Fi and some of the channels on the tv weren't available like the weather channel which my kids love. The beds were very old and uncomfortable

Pros:

I liked that my location was in a safe spot. The staff was super nice. Overall a great place to stay. Also like to send a special shout out to Rebecca the receptionist. Thank you for remembering me from my 1st visit to my 2nd . Very sweet and friendly lady. Great customer service 👏 I will be back.

Cons:

Didn't like that I couldn't warm up my food in my room. Had to go main floor to use the microwave.

I will never stay at this hotel again. The Holiday Inn and Marriott are much nicer at the same price
Pros:

The pool area was nice, but it was too cold to use it.

Cons:

Breakfast was very limited and the rooms were incredibly small. You could hardly walk around in the room. There isn't a closet area, so one of the bags had to be placed on the floor.

Excessive pet fee for a small dog! Wont be back!
Pros:

The hotel seemed very new. Check in was a breeze. Our King room was quite small. Bed frame was a shin buster at the end corners. Bed was comfortable, pillows were a bit to be desired, I like foam pillows that gave support, these were feather pillows that one flat and the second one over it had to be doubled over.

No coffee maker in the room. Shower was very clean and lots of water pressure.

We had our small dog and it cost over 1/2 of the room price. The hotel may be pet friendly but not wallet friendly!

If not for the excessive pet fee the price pill would have been easier to swallow. The other hotel we stayed at in IL was $15, not $75.

We wont be staying here on our return trip to MN in April.

The restaurants next door, Texas Road House and the Goat Bar and Grill smelled amazing, wish we would have stopped and ate at either of them, they both were very very busy!

Pros:

Bare bones hotel, not what we expect from a Hilton. Rooms are smaller, beds are hard. Walls are thin. Very little storage, not enough outlets. No microwave in the room. Breakfast was good, some hot entries but ends at 9am. I could not get a late check out even though I am rewards member. The 20 year olds in the lobby seemed to enjoy the set up and pool table. We won't stay at a TRU again.
