Excellent location. Beautiful room with view, great gym facility, and deck. Loved the Chop Happy Hour.
Perfect location, very comfortable rooms with lovely amenities.
We didn’t realize how close it was to a venue.
Excellent restaurant, the Chop House, on site.
Need a hotel coffee shop.
Hell, sauber, komfortabel, freundliches Personal,
Sehr weiche Matratzen.
Did not have breakfasts. The location in downtown Halifax was excellent. As expected Hotel clean and the staff very efficient and attentive. The valet service to park the car particularly good.
As with most of the big Canadian hotels very limited wardrobe and drawer space meaning clothes being kept in suitcases. Also seemed to be a bit on the expensive side .
Positive experience from the first contact with staff. Friendly and professional atmosphere; pleasantly decorated and very clean. The deep bathtub in the suite was much appreciated.
Nothing comes to mind.
We had a large and comfortable room which was very quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful. The car valet service was excellent. Good location close to the citadel. Good gym.
Nothing negative to report.
Very little.
Had I realised the hotel was at the top of a steep drop down to the rest of the city I wouldn't have chosen this hotel. I have never been to Halifax before and didn't know it was on a hill! Going down was just about OK but walking up exhausting. I used taxis all the time to get around.
Restaurant OK but staff over enthusiastic, everything was "amazing"! Breakfast dishes plates seem to contain 50% over heated potatoes. The other 50% was mediocre. Subsequently went elsewhere. Room window looked out over the heating/aircon system, so view of nothing. Pillows far too large and didn't have comfortable sleep. I didn't know that I could have asked for a smaller pillow - told on checking out. Overall disappointing for the price.
Location was good. Great pubs and restaurants close to hotel and easy walk to waterfront and other attractions. Did not feel the need for a car. Staff were friendly.
Noise level. (not talking city noise as that is unavoidable). Maybe if we were on higher floor would have been better.
Could hear people partying on street at 4 am. Very little sound proofing in windows.
Elevators were very congested. Staff need a dedicated elevator. Did get to meet some nice people while waiting for elevator.
Great location and very luxurious room. Beautiful comfy bed and linen too. The shower with a view out over the city and river was amazing
Not so much didn't like but considering how friendly Nova Scotians are generally, the two reception staff we encountered were less so. More like what we have unfortunately come to expect so often in UK
location
upscale
nothing
Room set up was great. My kids loved having a safe for them to watch TV at night.
The incredibly loud cars and drunk people on the street. We were on the second to top floor and couldn't believe how loud it was.
Great location!
I don’t think it’s a 5 star hotel. But it is a nice hotel. A couple minor things that made my stay a little less than really good.
