This is a beautifully designed hotel, a little slice of England in the hills above Udaipur… a very welcoming team with super friendly staff and delicious meals served with great attention to detail.
The food is overpriced and the hotel is cute but a bit tired.
While the location is a bit out of the center in Udaipur, it is a wonderful, calm oasis away from the hustle and bustle. The owners and staff are warm and welcoming, the property is beautiful and well decorated, and the food superb. It was a wonderful experience!
The Bujera Fort Hotel is a treasure in the hills outside Udaipur. The buildings are a beautiful compound. The food was delicious every meal. Loved Al the homemade jams. The exceptional kitchen accommodated the gluten free request. The flowers, garden and decorations throughout the property were so tasteful.
Nothing
Elegant and gracious hotel. Every detail is designed with care. Delicious meals in a courtyard setting.
Completely wonderful. Is one of the very best hotels in India.
Its a beautiful heritage fort hotel, labour of love!
I loved every little detail, and all the people who made our stay comfortable and enjoyable
The Fort is located in an absolute beautifull location with the Bjera village ai it s feet and surrounded by fields and countryside.
Absolutely stunning hotel and amazing attention to detail from the decor to the food and everything in between! Do not hesitate to stay here as you will not regret it!
Having to leave!
Wonderful property, hosts and staff. The attention given to every detail is difficult to find these days, but is alive and well at Bujera Fort.
Nothing to mention here.
Accueil très sympathique et professionnel- nous nous sommes sentis “chez nous” des la premiere minute. Cuisine variée et délicieuse, charme et élégance coloniale avec tout le confort moderne. Un séjour inoubliable ! On reviendra !
the courtyard is beautiful and the pool is well kept. Also the area where meals are served is very beautiful. I also appreciated the fact that the structure is owned by privates and that you can find pictures and memories of their trips around.
Very overpriced
I stayed at this hotel for one night with my boyfriend.
At arrival there was lots of security just hanging out, some with weapons -which could and should have been more discreet, even more considering that this is meant to be a relaxing location-. We then got escorted to our room. There were stains on the blankets, some ants on the floor, the glasses were chipped, the body lotion in the bathroom was already used and things simply didnt feel clean or comfortable to me. I also wiped the toilet seat just to be sure it was disinfected and the Wipe came out beige -meaning it wasnt too clean-.
We immediately got asked about what we wanted to have for dinner, basically they took for granted that we were going to eat there without telling us we were going to get charged for that. Obviously, because of the very easy way they were handling it, we thought the meal was included and therefore we compromised on what we could eat, even disregarding some of our intollerances just to be as accommodating as possible to what we thought was just a kind gesture.
So we ate, some of the food was very good, other just too spicy for western people -we like spicy food but they didn’t consider how we’re not used to that much spice-.
Also, this whole time basically everyone from the staff would only talk to my boyfriend -even if they were explaining something to us both, they would only look at him- and many times not even listen to what i was saying -i assume because i’m a woman, which i would find very offensive.
Breakfast was a complete disaster, not even youth hostel standards. The food offered was literally this: packed bread -when at dinner they kept saying how everything they use is fresh- that was stored under a damp cloth, rice, “roti”, papaya, bananas, apples, jam.
I am vegan and intollerant to fructose.
The staff, beside many of then being sexist, were polite and trying to please. Though, they also were unexperienced and a little chaotic.
