Poplar Tree Inn

We were checked in and unpacked when we discovered our bathroom had not been cleaned….dirty wet towel, open soap. It took a hour to have someone come clean the bathroom which took about five minutes…so that’s not a proper clean. No apologies were given for the inconvenience. We received no daily housekeeping for the three days we were there.
Complimentary breakfast was horrible, something wrong with the waffle mix, when we asked why it wasn’t rising, we got the reply we hadn’t cooked it enough…and the attendant left the room. I had to dig the flat waffles out of the maker because they did not rise and we’re starting to burn on the side that they were poured in on. Tables needed to be washed down and buffet area needed to be cleaned up.
The grounds of the hotel needed attention, weeds needed to be pulled and cleaned up.
We have stayed at this hotel several times over the years with the previous owners which gave us better service, better food and overall just a nicer place to stay.
Very disappointed to see a nice hotel loose its standard of service and care.

I enjoyed my time spent here. Room had a good view, bathroom was clean, hairdryer on the wall. It had about everything i need. TV channels are limited to local weather, community news, that sort of things. Breakfast was a disappointment. I did have an overcharge issue which was resolved before I left the hotel. I feel this hotel is run by very inexperienced staffs but wishing them a good luck. Hope this helps!

Book through this app. The front desk agent had no clue what I was talking about and asked me if I was even at the right place. She then proceeds to give me a room that is taken already. I return to the desk and she gives me the key to a room that’s 80° inside with no working ac. When I return again she gets overwhelmed and breaks down waking her boss to come check me in. 10/10 do not recommend this place. I will make the drive to Estevan in the future. It’s been a couple days now and I have not received a receipt. I will now have to take more of my time to retrieve a receipt that I should have gotten upon checkout.

Staff could not seem to figure out my booking. I booked through Expedia and they were trying to charge my room. Staff was want knowledgeable booking.

This property was good value for our stay. Several family members booked in for a reunion. The first night, we ate at Stoughts, which was right beside the hotel. The food and service were excellent.

Pleasant, friendly staff and managers. Thank you. No house keeping which was a bit odd, but not really a big deal.

The hotel was nice but what really stood out to me was the lady who helped me and at check in. I don’t think she normally worked the front desk. Unfortunately I didn’t get her name but she so very helpful.

The staff were incredible!

Hotel room floors were dirty. When I asked to have mine cleaned they used a broom to clean the carpet.
They always had the minimum for eggs and sausage so you didn’t take what you wanted so co workers could eat as well.
Then you would have to ask the girl to cook more.
Checked in and had “no” toilet paper in my room.

This is a nice property to stay at beds are comfortable clean big rooms and a good complimentary breakfast included

They had trouble locating my Expedia reservation. Hotel was quiet and clean but lacked in hot water for showers. There was also only one coffee mug in the room for 2 people.

This is a good hotel for a small town. The room was spacious and very clean. The breakfast wasn’t elaborate but definitely good enough to start the day. There is a bit of highway noise from the big trucks decelerating for the nearby intersection, but not bad. There is a Subway and a sit down restaurant right beside the hotel.

Room was clean, staff was really friendly, easy check in and check out process. Breakfast was minimal/limited but enjoyed my stay otherwise!
